March 13 megafight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao in his Texas stadium, a source close to the negotiations but not authorized to speak publicly about them told The Times today.
Jones' new Dallas Cowboys Stadium has a capacity of more than 100,000. His offer exceeds the $20-million guarantee that Staples Center offered fight promoters earlier this week.

When asked about the Dallas guarantee, Mayweather promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions would neither confirm or deny its accuracy.

Don't know if anyone knew this, but thought I'd make a thread just in case.

Good for Jerry Jones if it's true. I'm glad to see there may be a third party getting involved to call Schaefer/Mayweather's bluff. I still don't think this fight happens, but I'm holding out hope that it happens in Dallas.

they just keep on throwing more monety to make this fight.

floyd really aught to just paint himself yellow if he ducks Pacquiao in March.

I suspect that 25 mil won't be enough.

this is just the beginning of the bidding wars..I think it will go as high as 30 to maybe even 35 mil if made.

Go Jerry Jones. Screw the money from the las vegas casinos!!

Also think about this from the Team Schaefer side. They are possibly bidding their time waiting to see who will get the highest offer. All part of negotiations. Not part of ducking or any of that nonsense.

All of this money talk is insane. If Mayweather ruins this super fight with some garbage ass running, I will vomit. I have seen Mayweather box enough already, time for him to fight.

It anyone has the money its Jerry Jones ... he's a ****in billionare ... I can tell you this, it will have to happen in Dallas ... I wish those European billionares stepped up and tried to get the fight in Europe ... or even in Mexico, both fighters have a solid fan base and i'm sure that Azteka stadium wouldn't be that far of a drive.

To maximize the chance at making a pretty penny they should have the fight at a stadium that would seat 70+ k fans ... and in the case of Cowboy stadium that has the potential to have 100k fans.

I can tell you guy that if this fight has a solid undercard, with fighters who are fan friendly and have decent followings then i'm sure that it will sell.

You get someone like Chris John v Roberto Guerrero (both have good followings on the west coast)

    Montiel vs Donaire

    Hatton vs Marquez (co-feature)

You got 4m buys and you have a sold out stadium
