    Dean Francis has a shot at the so called WBO and 'linear title' agaisnt Erdei if he pulls the upset, i imagine his name will automatically be put forward to fight Calzaghe...would be funny if JC shunned mouthy Froch to fight Francis.

    If Dean Francis gets the shot at Erdei, it will be for one reason and one only - because he is a Warren fighter.

    Now - should Francis win, you could look at it two ways. Joe could fight him on a co-promoted bill as a way of settling the legal action and avoid paying costly solicitors fees.

    Or he could just ignore him - the most likely option.

    I don't know Calzaghe's psyche, but it would, as you say, be funny if Joe gave a less deserving fighter a top payday just to spite Froch.

    If Francis were to actually beat Erdei, why would he be more undeserving...

    Erdei would arguably be a much better win than Pascal...
