http://insidesports.ph/boxing/pacquiao-won’t-go-back-to-lightweight/ Since Valero is the number 1 contender for this belt, I would love to see Valero vs. JMM. If Valero can finish JMM via stoppage, he has the better punching power than Pac.
I dont think so. JMM has a big tendency of being so careless in the opening rounds, Manny plunged him 3x in their 1st encounter. Im curious if Valero can re-enact the same fate to JMM. His being 1 rounder KO artist will be tested this time.
Valero hasn't fought anybody remotely near the quality of Juan. I would expect to Marquez to outbox him with ease, and probably get a late stoppage depending on how good Valero's punch resistance is. Valero needs to fight some contenders first, not "the man" at lightweight, which I believe to be Juan, but it's debatable.
that's because pac ia a great fighter. saying valero could also knock down jmm thrice in a round and beat him is disrespecting both pac and jmm dude. valero has fought no one of quality and he had a hard time against mosquera. imagine what jmm would do to him
pitalua and valero will be fighting for that belt then I take it hopefully winners goes up against Nate Campbell
i just want Valero to FIGHT SOMEONE... so this is GOOD NEWS... This will bring Valero bigger fights, which imo he loses almost every one.
:good The man makes the belt, not the other way around. Lets go over a few things here. 1. The Big Three are all corrupt. The WBC is a lot of ****, why did Vitali get an instant title shot, "Champion emeritus" my ass. The IBF is just as bad, Rahman getting picked over his Daddy, James Toney for a Title shot against Wald? BULL****. The WBA. Why is Sturm walking around calling himself "World Champ?" now with Kelly the man at Middles? 2. It's all about the sanctioning fees. 3. Thats why I like the IBO. They at least have a fair ratings system. 4. RING Belt is a nice Trophy, but pretty meaningless, unless you are big on the Lineal crap. 5. And that IBA Strap is gorgeous. Especially when Toney is wearing it.
Marquez would beat the **** out of Valero. He is quite simply a crude slugger with good power, and even that hasn't been proven at an elite level. Not to mention Valero's defense is shocking at times and his footwork is not much better. Were talking about arguably the best counterpuncher in boxing against a highly flawed slugger with leaky defence. Valero will always do well against opponents that he can bully and overwhelm with power and strength, I just can't see that happening against a masterful boxer like JMM. Marquez TKO10. He wins nearly every round.
