A lot of people are disgruntled about Pascal/Froch being a title fight. It no longer matters who wins, because neither guy will make it past the first defense. Why? The winner of Taylor/Lacy will be the new champs first mandatory! Looks like JT will have a "World Title" at 168 pdq! Here's a link to the article. http://www.nwanews.com/adg/Sports/232317/
Yeah, I doubt it. If the plodding Pavlik stuns him with a couple right hands he's going to sleep against Froch.
Get Real -- Froch is not even close to being ready for Taylor. Of course at his age, he better get a move on. Look at it this way: He will make more getting his ass whopped by Taylor than he has ever made, and then he can retire.
Close to being ready? Were Spinks and Ouma the 154lbers close to being ready when Taylor was shown up as average? I doubt Froch is quaking in his boots. He might get outboxed and lose a decision, but he's always in the fight because if he lands something big its bye bye Taylor and good riddance. He was a disgrace to the middleweight division with those decisions.
ur a clown, my friend be real taylor has had some close fights but has simple out classed all oppisition excludeing kelly pavlik and theres no one else in the division that can stop him. but he will have this division all wraped up here shortly
What's unsmart about it? Did Taylor, or did he not get visibly shaken from a couple of right hands? It's a fact. He was gone. It's not unreasonable to assume if Froch lands he's going the same way.
Outclassed opposition??? He LOST to Bernard Hopkins (twice) and Winky Wright, but got highly disputed gift decisions - thanks to his connections to HBO!!!! Outside of journeymen, tomato cans or washed up fringe contenders, who has he "outclassed??" I'll save you the trouble - NOBODY.
There was me thinking that a man with a "Little Red" avatar must know what he is talking about...and then you spoil it all with a statement like the one above. Taylor knew where Froch was and could have been fighting him for a world title next time out, but no. The article gives a clue to Taylors state of mind when he said "After those two losses (against Pavlik), I definitely need a win", no **** Jermain, thats why you've picked Lacy and not Froch. Call me old fashioned, but where I'm from thats called ducking, plain and simple.
