    I'm willing to give Taylor a pass. He most certainly needs a tune-up/win. Sometimes you have to think like a manager/promoter.

    Do you have any pics of Indian Red from his fighting days?

    The problem, in my mind, with claiming that Pavlik being able to land on Taylor somehow indicates that he'll be vulnerable against Froch is that Pavlik is hardly a speed demon but he possesses an advantage in that regard over Froch. Furthermore, Pavlik's exemplary workrate and great punching accuracy is largely responsible for his ability to land and land well. Those are both lesser known qualities for the British fighter.

    I would also ask you to refer to Taylor's second fight with Pavlik, which despite being a clear win for Pavlik, was rather close. Taylor was stunned maybe once or twice and the primary reason for the worst of it was being gassed because Pavlik just worked him so much. Regardless, I believe that if Taylor comes back motivated and in the same form as his last fight against Lacy, I see no reason why he shouldln't win that fight and make light work of Froch, as well.

    Only ones off of the net..Ernie was always a handfull, but not the fighter that Danny was. As a 13 year old kid I was lucky enough to see Ernie in his last bona fide pro fight against John Stracey at the Albert Hall in london and it was a bit of a war IIRC. Happy days

    Good post the only thing that i disagree with is that i feel that JT did enough to pull out the second fight.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    And then they'll just say Pavlik already ruined Taylor like they did with Miranda/Abraham. Ignoring that none of the fights were career ending beatdowns.

    What are you going to say when he gets starched by B level Froch?

    Who the heck has Taylor proven himself to be "a class above??" Journeymen and washed up contenders like Joppy?? Heck, he can't even beat JUNIOR middleweights convincingly! Without the gift decisions again Hopkins and Wright, he'd be just another HBO hype job who went nowhere.

    Say he lost all three fights to Hopkins and Winky. One can still claim that he was ultra competitive against 2 of the best in the world. How many can say that? And in his last fight, he was ultra competitive with another P4P fighter. Taylor IS a class above. He's just not a class above the elite but definitely over Froch. Carl Froch? :rofl :rofl Seriously? Carl Froch??????? :lol:

    Ouma and Spinks aren't anything close to elite, especially at 160, yet they gave him plenty of trouble. Why can't Froch, a bigger, harder hitting guy and the hardest hitter he'd have faced?

    1 dimensional Pavlik beat him twice, I see no reason Froch can't.

    Froch's best win was over a completely shot Robin Reid. And Reid went the distance with Jesse Brinkly in the fight before Froch:patsch

    Froch has done ****-all to show he belongs in a title fight. The WBC should have just sanctioned Pascal/Zuniga instead of ****ing zuniga over!

    As i've discussed on different occassions about JT, the guy's got mental issues. Heck, i'll just say it, the guy's "dumb". :lol: He doesn't listen. He didn't do what his trainers wanted him to do against Ouma and Spinks. So he didn't look great not because of a lack of talent but because he didn't use the right game plan. If he was beaten by them because of a lack of talent, there is reason for worry. But his problems were mental.

    I know that for you JT haters, all you can focus on are his fights with Ouma and Spinks. And that's fine. Like i said about JT many times, the truth shall reveal itself in due time.
