Filip Hrgovic will take on Daniel Dubois on the 5v5 undercard of Bivol vs Beterbiev on June 1st.

Chris Billam Smith and Richard Riakporhe have both agreed to fight each other next in June. Great match up.

2 weight world champion Hekkie Budler has announced his retirement from the sport. His fights were always great to watch. Enjoy retirement champ.

I was hoping for Hrgovic to face Joshua, Dubois isn't a terrible alternative but it's a far less competitive fight on paper in my opinion.

Hrgovic vs. Dubois is a great fight and an opportunity for Hrgovic to prepare well for a potential fight against Joshua.

Actually I think this is a pretty good fight, Hrgovic's second best opponent by far (and history may view it as his best opponent IMHO).

I don't think Hrgovic wins easily, he'll need to break Dubois down and Dubois has the power to be dangerous until then.

His problem is that Hrgovic has a good chin and will indeed break him down eventually barring Dubois landing a fight-changing punch.

Yeah's it's a pretty good fight, especially given how Hrgovic really has only fought one quality opponent in Zhang but it's still a little disappointing given it might have been Joshua/Hrgovic, which is what I would of expected given Joshua is ranked ahead of Dubois in the IBF rankings.

While I've been critical of Dubois, I don't think it will be a cake walk either, Dubois for all his faults is dangerous as he does have power and he did show some real grit vs Miller, so I doubt he'll be blasted out and yes Hrgovic might have one of the best chins in the division right now, so Dubois is in for another tough fight if he's to overcome Hrgovic.

How well Dubois does is dependent on if he can back Hrgovic up. Both are at there best when walking their opponent down and less effective on the back foot. But I think Hrgovic is simply more skilled and will back Dubois up and unlike Miller won't fade and will stop Dubois.

    Hrgovic stops Dubois imo.
Its easier to show heart and good performance vs man weigh 155 kg than vs bigger, good technic dude in his prime.
Off course Daniel hit very hard but Filip might have one of the best chin right now.

Imo Filip destroy Daniel with straight punches. Joyce did that in past and he is much slower and less dinamic than Filip.

Its brave from Dubois team but I dont know if its good move. For me he should fight right now less dangerous fight with ppl from todays Chisora, Helenius, Martin, Pulev, Takam level.

He got time. He is very Young. Next KO and hard fight for him can stop his good time after Miller fight.

But maybe I overrated Hrgovic and maybe being brave is better idea.

I agree, good post. Big credit to Dubois for taking this fight to be honest, and we should encourage this as fans. It might not be a good idea for Dubois personally, but it's good for the division overall.

I imagine the plan is to pull Dubois out if he's starting to take a beating, he is very young and can come back. IMHO he'd have a better chance vs Joshua, Joshua doesn't have as good a chin.
