If Ortiz can beat Sam Langford and Joe Jeanette, he has a pretty good shot at beating Okolie.

If Ortiz beats Okolie it will be the best victory by a 46+ year old HW in boxing history. Which strongly suggests that it won’t happen. Ortiz’s punch resistance was shot 3 years ago, before he got dropped multiple times by Martin and Ruiz.

BBBofc had refused Lucas Browne to face Dubois in 2022.

Luis Ortiz is both ancient and very inactive. If it was the Ortiz of 5-7 years ago then would be an easy Ortiz KO, but his punch resistence is gone, hes slow, he can probably still hit very hard and has very good timing but father time catches up on everyone at somepoint. I think will be an early Okolie KO.

Zayas V Spomer is a great fight, credit for Zayas for taking this, a tough fight. But, I think Zayas has enough to get a comfortable decision here.

Kollias is a mid journeyman so I expect Anderson to have a easy night's work.

Was a very good decision in hindsight, would have been a brutal beatdown.

If ortiz is allowed to fight in his pipe and slippers and okolie in his old McDonalds uniform then I’ll watch that fight but otherwise I’m not interested.

If this is true - then Okolie vs Ortiz I like. Ortiz is very old and inactive, but was always a solid top 10-ish fighter when he was being touted. Okolie hasn’t done anything really at heavy yet, so will be good to see how he deals with a physically big and tough guy like Ortiz, even as a measuring stick. I like it.

Okolie is a pretty horrible fighter with a bad chin. This is probably why they have him going against a 60 year old man. Could backfire though; Ortiz *seems* like he still has some power.

Sparring with Sam Langford and Jack Johnson is an advantage for Ortiz and he will transfer that experience to the ring...

Ortiz, when asked to compare Okolie to past sparring partners, said "Well, he's 6'5" but other than that he's very similar to Tom Molineaux, or maybe like ole' Klondike."
