His best days were already behind him at that point. Sadly there is no footage of Ortiz at his peak.

That the world never see his prime on film is a tragedy.

It was probably when he fought that Eskimo fellow bare-knuckle for 75 rounds in the eliminator for Jim Corbett.

It's interesting to see how people completely misunderstand these two fighters and thereby this fight.

Okolie is a natural heavyweight, being a cruiserweight hurt him and made him have to do the octopus thing. At heavyweight he will be alot better, he's one of the most exciting contenders out there.

Luis Ortiz did good vs Charles Martin, styles make fights and Luis came out on top. You can't discredit him based on that performance, acctually he looked very good at times. Could Luis have aged since then? For sure but he sure does deserve a good fight like this for his last performance and this is acctually a really good fight.

That fight happened over 3 years ago, and Martin is a bum. Ortiz got dropped twice by a jab, Martin couldn't even drop Anderson with his biggest power shots. Okolie is getting no credit for picking on an old relic

Martin isn't a bum. Certainly not compared to todays standards.

Charles took the Anderson fight on 11 days notice and Anderson wasn't able to stop him unlike Luis Ortiz.

We don't know what Ortiz is gonna show up, if the same Ortiz shows up for this one then its a fight, one that Okolie can only win if he's legit.

The words 'Okolie' and 'exciting' do not belong together unless it's in the case of saying that he is not exciting.

Words based on a misunderstanding in my opinion. At CW having such a huge height advantage but not a weight advantage Okolie had to adjust with the octopus thing making his fights rather dull. At hw there isn't going to be anything dull about his fights.
