"May 5th is not enough time to Promote the fight" - Roach on ESPN's PTI 1/18/12

Does anyone even realize how Ridiculous of an excuse that is? We are not talking about a fight between two obscure fighters from the Netherlands that the world has never heard of. This is Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather. These two fighters are already the main topic on every Boxing website's forum, on every sports radio talk show, Hell Roach has a Reality Show on HBO that will be a form of Promotion within itself...not to Mention HBO will produce a Massive in-depth 24/7 for this fight. IMO The ENTIRE TEAM PACQUIAO (including Manny himself) NEVER WANTED THIS FIGHT....and neither does Pacquiao fans!!!

I'd take this if it were same day weigh in. At some point size does matter. Doing catch weight fights is only an attempt to 'get over' on the weight game that is 'prior day' weigh in.

To my understanding Pac and Arum haven't come out and said no yet. Correct? The article title seems misleading when there are numerous other articles that make it seem like negotiations and business deals and whatever bull**** for this fight is still ongoing and up in the air.

If this is true then Pacquiao has just flushed his entire legacy down the toilet, he will be remembered as the biggest fraud in boxing as far as elite fighters go.

We already knew arum was a piece of **** so I wont even waste my time on him.

This stuff i hilarious. Our opinions don't mean much on this board and even less elsewhere. Pac has made millions, gotten himself elected to his country's congress and 'won' belts in 8 divisions. 99.95% of the PAYING boxing public doesn't even know this **** is going on and even if they did, wouldn't care. Even if you ARE right and Pac is ducking Floyd (obviously a highly debatable scenario) it doesn't matter. Did it matter when people believed it was Floyd's fault? Nope. Lots of fights have never happened in the history of boxing without tarnishing images in the long run. Get over it. Just the way it is.

Pac doesn't want any part of this fight!

  13. Thread title should be changed to "ARUM: Pacquiao's next fight will not be against Mayweather"

The world has been cheated out of the biggest fight in 20 years. Plus if and i stress if it happened, everyone would wonder whether it is a faded version of the 2010 proposal
