NEWS: Pacquiao Willing to Accept Lower Purse

    I heard in local TV news that Pacquiao is acceptable to get lower share of the purse just to make the fight with Floyd happen. It is reported that Floyd wanted 100M before he will agree to fight Pacquiao which the promoters say is not acceptable.

    The ball is now in Floyd's hands. :lol:

    Pac does not control anything involving negotiations, so it doesn't matter what he wants, it's what Arum wants. And all Arum has been doing recently is giving reasons why the fight can't happen or adding roadblocks, which would leave any rational person to believe that he doesn't really want to make the fight happen.

    Pac didn't say a word after the Marquez fight when Arum interrupted and said he was making a 4th fight. Pac also never says anything directly calling Floyd out. when will you just grow up and see whats in front of your face.

    Its Arum stopping this fight, Alex Ariza even admitted this 2 weeks ago. Pac is more than happy letting Arum Match him perfectly with over the hill fighters.

    There is videos of Roach saying-
    -Oscar was weight drained and he had tracks in his arms from being re hydrated through a drip.
    -Mosley couldn't bang anymore so he is no threat to Pac
    -" it would be unfair to ask them to test as we didn't agree to it ourselves"
    -The JMM 3rd fight was signed pre mosley they even promoted the fight prior to Mosley yet Pac fans believe negotiations for Floyd took place?!!!!

    PAC HAS NEVER DIRECTLY CALLED FLOYD OUT OR SAID DIRECTLY HE WILL TAKE ANY TEST!!!!

    That's your opinion but at least one stumbling block is solved. Btw, it's Pacquiao that I heard talking, not Arum. Well, **** Arum too if he will not listen to his fighter.

    is arum willing to get the lesser purse?

    10% less for pac means 2.5% less for arum...bobby don't play that kinda game

    I heard Pac saying if the purse is the stumbling block, he's willing to sacrifice and take the lower share of the purse. That's actually calling out Floyd to fight him.

    Probably. But it is his fighter talking this time. To Pac, money is no problem for this fight to push through. Sign up now, Floyd. Listen to Pac.

    That's my whole point, Arum is the one who doesn't seem to want the fight. There is no doubt in my mind that Pac wants the fight. But Pac has no say in anything, he is just the fighter.

    well, it isn't "i want to fight floyd, bob make it happen"


    but it's a step in the right direction


    however...we never know what arum tells pac...he could say, pac ma' boy, just tell them what they want to hear, i'll do the rest

    MANILA, Philippines – Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao claimed that his unbeaten and controversial rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. is asking a hefty sum for their anticipated blockbuster bout.

    “Narinig ko sa $100 million ‘yung hiningi… Basta 'yun ang hinihingi n'ya kaya ‘di matuloy-tuloy [ang laban],” the fighting congressman of Sarangani province told ABS-CBN’s Jay Dayupay.

    (I heard he’s asking $100 million. That’s what he’s asking for which is why the fight is not yet done).

    Pacquiao, who is turning 33 on Saturday, said he is leaving it to his promoter to negotiate with Mayweather’s camp.

    Top Rank Promotions, which handles Pacquiao’s fights, said that $100 million for just one fighter is impossible.

    Pacquiao also mentioned that there were offers made by some promoters guaranteeing each fighter $50 million.

    Meanwhile, Pacquiao is praying for her mother’s complete recovery.

    Mommy Dionisia has been out of the limelight to get some rest after experiencing a nervous breakdown.

    “Sana bigyan kami ng malakas na katawan araw araw ng pamilya ko at lahat ng aking mahal sa buhay (I pray we remain healthy, me and my family and relatives),” said Pacquiao.

    Its quite simple really. Arum and Floyd wont negotiate. If Pac really wants the fight he tells Arum to make it not do what he is told like a little lap dog.

    I like Pac its really hard not to, but the control Arum has over him is a joke.
