Only Hayehuggers will argue that. Macaroni is better than O'Neil Bell? Not even close. Mormeck is better than Steve Cunningham? Mormeck is an old man who got KOed by Bell and then got a robbery decision. The division is terribly weak no doubt but Mormeck is a tired old stiff and Macaroni is a total embarrassment. But those are the opponents who supposedly show that Haye is an unstoppable force that Wlad should fear? :-(
Look at that a Brit as unified and become undisputed champion at his weight division and his opponent his crap. If he beats wlad because he his capable of hitting him fast and hard, what will the excuses be then?
To me, p4p means how good they are now, not how good they were once. Haye beat Mormeck who was p4p top 25 and Maccarinelli, p4p top 30. That makes him p4p Top 15, in my book.
Taylor isn't top 15. Haye is not better than Winky or Hopkins. Even if he was, Guzman, Dawson, and Wlad are all ahead of him as well.
I agree...Taylor is behind Haye and about as good as Winky. Hopkins is worse than both Taylor and Winky, clearly. Guzman is better than Haye and Dawson is about as good as Haye and Pavlik.
Guy stop playing dumb he looked horrible. No muscles, no snap to his punches, no movement, no boxing instincts and the man HAD JIGGLY ****ING MANBOOBS!!!!! Are you blind? It's not about looking like a bodybuilder it's about having an athletic body and some basic boxing skill. Macaroni has neither. Who would even bother to hire him as a sparing partner?
Not even just about? Is he not in the area of 29-33, somewhere? Not that it matters that much...I rate Haye about as much as Pavlik and Dawson - that kind of p4p area.
Ok if haye does the business on Wlad which his definately a possibilty after watching him against sultan, what will the haters use as an excuse.
I'd feel comfortable putting him in between those two. I think he's more talented than Pavlik, but not as talented as Dawson.
Taylor beat Hopkins TWICE and Winky drew with Taylor, at MW, where it really matters - they're all natural MWs! Hopkins beat a faded Tarver at LHW...that's it. Since then, he's faded even more himself, as could be seen against a blown-up Winky, at 170.
