Adrien Broner is the next Mayweather. Ponce De Leon was his Jose Luis Castillo.

To be a mega star, you have to have something special about you that draws people to you. DLH, Mayweather and Pacman all had special qualities about them. Winning alone and being amazing in the ring doesn't guarantee you nothing, just look at Roy Jones. He never crossed over to the mainstream.

I think as Brickhaus mentioned above, Ortiz has a shot if he beats Mayweather. Yeah, a great way to get in that mainstream is to beat a mega star. Pacquiao and Mayweather beating DLH took them to another level.

I think Ward will end up being the greatest SMW of all time and end up beating Froch, Bute and whoever is "elite" around his weight class for years. But he doesn't have an "it" factor that draws people to him. His personality is too vanilla, he doesn't have an exciting style, etc.

Rios is not an A level talent. And history has shown that to be a mega star, you need to be able to beat your share of other elite fighters. Rios will end up being an action star like Katsidis, Gatti, etc but not a megastar. There is a clear difference.

    Yeah I think so too..

No he does.. Wait maybe a lil bit... :yep

Yeah and he is the last to Win Gold at the Olympics that will be huge in promoting him.. would be even better is if he KO's Froch.. that will be the Coming out opener..:happy

LMAO about Mike Jones.. Homey cant catch a Break this week on ESB..

Rios is going to have some classics but that **** is gonna catch up to him, to be the Next American Star you have to last.. Sooner or later Rios is gonna run into someone who pushes his **** in...

Interesting statement based on who you have as your avatar.. :patsch

A few more Victories and Bronner may have a shot.. I like the Ghost, he has a nice story but he has a ways to go as well.. Donaire is the next Pac followed star if that guy can get his promotional stuff together.. and a few more high profiled fights with the division kings ahead of him, Mares, Rigo, Gamboa, Chris John... Granted he passes the first 3 the John fight would be epic in that part of the world.. some thrilla in Manila type ****.. Okay Okay let me come back to Reality.. but that fight would be epic..
