To be fair to McGuigan Frampton was meant to fight 3 times at the end of last year, but he got a ear injury forcing him to pull out of Frank ******s bill in July and the plan was to have to fights in Belfast in September and December, but because of the injury he could only mange one fight in October against Parodi.

I know,Ryan. But you know how it is. Today fans have very short attention spans and fickle loyalty. As a young contender, Carl should be much more active.

If/when he wins a world title, he will be virtually " forced" to be inactive, cos champs these days only defend a couple of times per year.
If this is the level of fighting activity we are going to get from Carl for ever more until the end of his career it will be most unsatisfactory, to say the least.

It certainly will stunt his development and his legacy.

I totally agree with you, but he's obviously had promotional problems to sort out as well as the injury. Lets hope he is more active this year though, but something tells me their setting their sights big for their next fight.

inactivity is one of the absolute worst things in boxing for a young fighter, every single year counts for a hell of a lot, Kevin Mitchell isn't even 30 yet but has already wasted the best years of his career, Kiko has remained extremely active the last few years and has gone from strength to strength even in defeat (Despite his looks and experience, Kiko is only Framptons age)

The fact that Frampton is one of the top fighters in the division and well known/regarded even stateside will be a big help(he's been mentioned on HBO several times as a fighter they would like to see fight in the states, Santa Cruz calling him out etc), if he was a somewhat unknown quantity then getting him big fights would be extremely difficult

Aye he's got the drawing power and i can see him getting a deal over in America to fight on HBO or Showtime as he has the talent and profile to back it up and it's just about doing it when it matters so lets hope inactivity doesn't come into it.

to say Frampton should fight Galahad now
is like saying George Groves should fight Rocky Fielding
or Tyson Fury should fight Richard Towers

Parodi ? I mean that's probably what we're going to see in his next fight, that standard and level. I'd rather see gallahad that that

They will not put Gallahad anywhere near Frampton in the near future.

Domestic interest yes but Frampton would walk through him early doors.

Bad news for Carl (and to a lesser extent Quigg). LSC and Kiko are tied up fighting little old men for the forseeable future.

It looked good for Quigg v Kiko there for a while, the body language was very positive. I was hoping Scott would beat Kiko and then fight Carl. Bummer.

Maybe the Kiko v Hasegawa fight will fall through? There's always hope......!!
