Tell that mountain of lard to shift a tonne of weight in 4 weeks and fight himself then. I would happily castrate the fat nonce, see if he rams that down his ****ing gob like he does everything else.
The only fight fat Dan has ever had was with a 6 year old kid who pushed into the cue at McDonalds, the kid sparked him with a left hook.
Think he'll move up, or he should. Think the criticism he's getting is WELL over the top. He didn't make weight because he's struggling at the weight already and had 4 weeks. I'm guessing he had a hell of a lot to shift and the fact he lost 8oz's in 2 hours says it all. He's finished at this weight without reconsideration of his training methods and longer camps. What he did in the ring wasn't that bad either, of course he was well outmatched in nearly every single department you'd want to think of, but he was still in there, he wasn't looking for a way out like Lockett or Jennings or on his bike, he was making sure he didn't take clean shots and try and find a way into it late when Devon's dropped off the pace, its always tough when the other guys at full pelt and is already about 200% faster than anything you've ever seen, so its not a bad move in that situation to keep things tight and see what you can do later. If he went out there threw wild right hands and got sparked with an uppercut people would be crucifying him too. So I'm kinda surprised he got pulled out when he did considering he wasn't in the worst position with Alexander inevitably slowing down and injured, keeping things tight wasn't looking a terrible tactic. Compare it to the first few rounds where he was walking into uppercuts and getting his guard split and it seems a dodgy decision to pull him out when he did.
He should move up to light middle spend a bit of time fighting his way to the top of the domestic tree, but really its just a case of seeing how far he can go , euro title a possibility but at world level im not so sure.
I didn't think his performance was too bad either Considering his limitations he did all he could,he didn't show any power Because he was wary of Alexander's speed and had to throw short arm punches I think he would of nicked a couple of rounds if he could of continued The reason I asked the question was did anybody think he should give up on world level now as he has probably gone as far as he can The reality is playing the rankings game like Hearn plays with his fighters is probably a pointless exercise now and he should compete domestically and european at light middle
