    JC Chavez Sr. just got interviewed last night and he just said his sons first tittle defense will be on September 17 or 24 in San Antonio against Peter Manfredo Jr !!! What do you think??

    :-(( Ive given up on Jr. That he got a belt was impressive he made his dad proud, but when Jr faces any of the real threats like La Maravilla, Abraham, Pirog, Golovkin, or even Rubio or Lemieux, he will be put in his place. I dont hate any fighter, but I dont like him representing Mexican boxing and I dont like him for other reasons. Too limited and his opposition is limited as well. If they do have skills, they lack power. Canelo at least knocks them out and doesnt struggle like Jr does and thats because Alvarez is at an earlier stage in his career than Jr is. Jr doesnt impress me at all.

    I hope Manfredo takes that title. And actually it would not surprise me one bit if he did.

    once chavez steps up he will suffer, you cant fight inside when you are much taller,lack power and defensive skills. look how much zbik hit him and he doesnt have any power if he fights a good boxer like that he will take a serious beating.

    Let's be honest, the only way Manfredo can win this is via KO and that is pretty unlikely.
