Who does Korobov fight next? I hope they dont freeze him out now. Top Rank screwed him over before. He can compete with most 160lb fighters. He needs to make a living.

He should go straight to the police station and report a robbery.

    May as well retire.

He's officially cemented himself even further in the low-reward, high risk category.

And, the boxing media is completely whitewashing the outcome to make it seem as routine for Charlo as possible.

They're not going to reward him with a big fight. They're going to bury his career here for going against the script, just like they did with Kotelnik after Alexander and Pirog after Jacobs.

Pirog hurt his back thats why he retired. Kotelnik did whoop Alexanders ass.

Of course he retired from back problems. A couple years after knocking out Jacobs.

HBO blackballed him, which is why the remaining few fights he had were in Russia. He's fortunate he got the knockout because the scorecards were already against him.

When that management team left HBO, the new management brought him back with the intention of matching him up with GGG in his U.S. debut. The winner of that fight was to get the push. HBO was budget strapped and looking for cheap talent to push, and the Eastern Euro punchers gave them a good value.

Then, the back injury ended Pirog's career, and Proksa stepped in.

After the Jacobs fight, he had three defenses in Russia before retiring. It took a management change at HBO for them to call him back to be on the network again.

He needs to be very active in the next few years. He is a very solid fighter who has, for some reason, not fought much in the past decade.

That was a tremendous show, and he got robbed. But, taking that fight on a weeks notice and performing as well as he did, he deserves attention and $$.

Korobov proved once again that he is a high risk low reward opponent. Sadly I don't think he will ever get a significant fight after this.

Yes Ryota Murata vs Korobov would be nice. Was going to type my opinion and saw yours. Good fight right there assuming Murata is back to his self next fight. Brant outworked him badly. I think Ryota wins a rematch
