I agree with you, most of the fights are pretty messy and ugly. It's always funny to me when hear the Sky team talking about how the Hearns have reinvigorated the sport with Prize Fighter and how it pulls casual punters into boxing. Well to me they just ripped the idea from K-1 in Japan who've been doing it for over a decade, but only with top level fighters and god knows what the "casual" fans thinks of the messy ugly brawls they see?!
The next Prizefighter is another International Heavyweights, the advert is in the new Boxing News out today. Any ideas on who might be featured?:bbb
From Prizefighter Website. "Three World title challengers are in the first four names announced for the Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights tournament on Wednesday June 20 at York Hall, Bethnal Green. Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson, Albert Sosnowski and Kali Meehan have all stepped in the ring to fight for World titles and that trio are joined by Kent’s Tom Dallas in the 25th edition of the eight man, one night tournament live on Sky Sports." Not bad so far! Surprised Johnson has gone in for it and Sosnowski and Meehan are a little shot, but should prove for an decent night anyways. :good (Dallas to get sparked again?) Get Travis Walker in there also!

What are the odds on Johnson pulling out? He was meant to be in the last one which looked good and then fell apart. Sosnowski? OK I guess. Meehan is ancient and lost to Travis Walker, and Dallas :-(
Replace Johnson with the last guy he beat and have Meehan replaced with Walker, and you have a much more exciting tournament to watch. The less said about Dallas being potentially matched up with a fringe world level boxer like Johnson, the better...
