Johnson didn't pull out last time, he wanted to compete but the US border force wouldn't let him leave the country due to "unpaid child maintenance" - turned out they had got him confused with another Kevin Johnson atsch Johnson wins this easily based on the line-up so far. Sosnowski and Meehan are shot, Dallas is just ****.
No way does glass-jawed fraud Wilder even dare to enter against guys who have actually boxed before :-( He's scheduled to fight the horribly shot Owen Beck 3 days after Prizefighter anyway.
Could be a pretty interesting one:think Ok, the Prizefighter concept is starting to feel a bit stale, but with this many 'shot' big men, several of them visiting the last chance saloon it could be quite exciting!:bbb
asked Wilder how many journeyman is it gonna take before fight some decent guys, his answer, everyone wants to much money, ask my promoters. Golden Boy isnt doing a good job, Olympic medalist, money for decent opponents shouldnt be an issue, hope he gets into Prizefighter.
I feel a bit sorry for him. From what I've seen he's got talent but his career's just being allowed to stagnate. I think it could be a very good move if he came to this side of the pond and fought some of our heavys. Fairly **** fighters but who have a bit of recognition you know? Or start fighting some has beens or something. Fighting nobodies is pointless, no-one notices when you knockout someone no-one's ever heard of.
I think he's thinking that it gives the tournament a credible name, that over 3 rounds Johnson might be forced to be more aggressive, and that if anyone beats him in Prizefighter it'd be a good name to add to their CV. Not being cheeky like as I see where you're coming from. I'm actually interested to see how he'd do in the Prizefighter format but I'm aware I'll be in the minority.
