So I'm quite new to boxing in general, so forgive me if there's an obvious answer to this but is anyone aware of the reason why there hasn't been a prizefighter tournament on sky sports in about a year. I really like the concept of it and can't work out why they've suddenly stopped?
You might have been better of posting this in the Brit forum. To answer your question, i am not sure, but boxing, like most things in life, comes down to money. If Prizefighter hasn't been on for a year then i imagine it is because it is losing popularity and doesn't generate as much money anymore. The concept is interesting and it has been used as a platform to springboard fighters on to better things (i.e. Martin Murray), but i got bored of it a good few years ago.
Wasn't particularly popular so Sky have s****ped it in favour of addition standard fight nights. Hearn has said in an interview there is a chance they may do one in the future but it all depends upon demand.
Thanks a lot. I, personally would love to see one but I can understand how it would become a bit boring and repetitive. I will know to post on the British forum next time!
That was Eddie's dad's baby. In recent years Barry has taken more of a backseat role as Fast Car's star has risen. Might just be he's done with the game and the lad doesn't feel like carrying on that bit of the legacy with his energy already spread in so many directions.
"The Contender" here in the States was thought of that way but many of those guys are the same guys that make superstar fighters resume look good. Sergio Mora Sakio Bika Steve Forbes Peter Manfredo Alfonso Gomez
