kermit the frog does'nt deserve a shot at cotto...you never know what stunt he'd pull to get out of a beating....i dont think he'd ever jump out the ring again or claim to have gotten hit in the back of the head after taking a clean shot tho...the boy is a drama queen.....he should try to get a fight with floyd, low risk of getting a beatdown while getting the biggest pay of his carreer!

It all depends on how Arum sees Cotto right now. Is he a sacrificial lamb or does "Greed-Ass" Arum still wanna try to make money off of Cotto? Remember Cotto is only 29 with plenty of fights/years left. So Arum could easily capitolize on his "Eastcoast" fanbase (mostly Boricuas) and place him in the ring versus solid, ranked competition but fighters in which Cotto would be the favorite, fighing in venues like MSG, Atlantic City or PR, against fighters like K9 Bundridge, Martarosian & Dinzinruk. That's a possible 3 fight win streak to put Cotto's name back in play as a Major P4P fighter and would make Chavez Jr., Angulo, Berto, Kirkland, Erislandy MUCH BIGGER FIGHTS!!!

Correct Skinny, and moving back up a division to do it.

Wood has fought about 35 career rounds and is just another in a long list of mismatches.

Mundine tends to feast on the fringe-dwellers of a division, and when he gets too close to a meaningful match-up, run to another division, and then repeat the cycle.

Mundine's made an art-form of regularly dropping names like Mayweather and Cotto, and then fighting names like Falliga, Jerez and Crazy Kim.

IMO Cintron vs Cotto is a pick 'em fight at 154.

Apparently theyre working on Cotto v. Cintron- which would be decent, but I would absolutely love Cotto v. Angulo or Mayweather.

Cotto's repeatedly said he wants out at 30, and wants just a couple more fights before retiring so they have to be as big as possible.

Cotto seems like a guy whos very realistic about his boxing career, he wants to make as much as he can while he can and get out.

recently (well after the foreman fight) cotto said he might stick around for a little longer because manny steward made him realize theres more he can do.

how do you think cotto vs angulo/cintron turns out?

i think cotto easily outboxes angulo just like cintron did but cintron will be a big problem.

I agree. I could see Cotto getting caught, but most likely he'll comfortably outbox Kermit.

Personally i really dont want to see Cintron get a chance at Cotto.... if it happens, it will be a fight im heavily nervous about as Cintron brings with him some big pop, big frame, and whatnot, however im confident that Cotto can outbox him for most of the fight, its just avoiding some big shots all night that should be Cottos focus.

However, its just the notioin of Cotto losing to Cintron that is unbearable,

    Cotto vs Angulo
    Cotto vs Mayweather

I hope Cotto team can try to get these fights.
