Now that Wlad has taken care of Thompson, I'm wondering who the WBO will sanction for a title eliminator fight to be the next WBO challenger. After Thompson they have
Dimitrenko and Virchis as their highest ranked fighters, also Povetkin and Arreola ranked high. Since Virchis is in a WBC eliminator, and Povetkin is IBF challenger, maybe Dimitrenko vs. someone would make sence but I'm not sure who, maybe Arreola.

    Dimitenko.

Dimitrenko vs. Arreola would be great.

Hopefully, the WBO holds off on a mandatory; so, Klitschko can try and pick-up another title

There´s a certain dilemma with heavyweight contenders.

All the mandatories really prevent unification.

Not having fights for a mandatory position prevents contenders from not fighting bums and facing each other instead.

    Dimitenko.... gezzz----

    This guy sucks big time,

Arreola will stop him i less than 3 rounds. I dont even see him as a top 30 fighter....

If necessary just get rid of the WBO title and let two chumps fight over it.

Add the WBA to the IBF - and you will only have one mando to take care of, then hopefully the timing of the WBC titlists mando will fall in for a mega unification fight.

Most people espec in UK don't recognise the WBO anyway

I think Dimentricko should earn his stripes against another man who has yet to prove himself at the heavier weight in Dave Haye.. Haye v Dimek would be a solid bout....

dimitrenko is also in the witness protection programm. when will he fight his first good fighter? i think his camp is just worried that he gets ktfo if he steps up.

    Agree.

But Dimitrenko don't seem to be too eager to step up to the higher level opponents, just yet.

Not that I consider Arreola a high level opponent, as he's not but still...... He's far better than anyone Dimitrenko has been fighting.

I hope to see Dimitrenko finally take the plunge and fight someone with a pulse.

Yes, but it's true the other way around as well... and Dimitrenko is far more experienced than Arreola.

I'd probably pick Dimitrenko to outbox Arreola, but the focused Sasha has to turn up to do that. He's equally impressive and unimpressive time to time, he's got the tools but sometimes it looks like he doesn't have the confidence to use them. But Arreola is dangerous only if you fight his fight. Using the jab and the height advantage should be enough for Dimitrenko to win a clear UD.

So what protection is Arreola under then? Because his record is absolutely filled with nobodys, and much worse than Dimitrenko's with almost the same amount of fights.

Why hold off ... doesn't Wald have 1 year after beating Thomposn to defending against next madatory .. its plenty of time to get at least one more unification fight.

arreola seems like the only legitimate heavyweight right now that can take out Wlad..... or maybe im wrong and Wlad can suprise me but I still think this guy is too much of an animal.

And who Arreola exactly defeated to make you think this way? The guy has not even fought a Top 25 HW yet let alone beat one.
