They will put bunch of Latino fighters in and will sell this to US broadcasters.
I like the idea of of getting in the Latino fighters but I don't think there will be much interest from the general public. Disastrous idea in terms of viewing numbers.

    Who will watch this?!

A few good fights maybe for the hardcore fans but for everybody else, i don't think anybody will give AF.

Welterweight is where its at, That would be huge, lot's of great fighters with decent names that would be all over it too. The top heavyweights would never sign up,

122 is a bumland, that's why Rigo stuck there for awhile.

Depends on who is in it. Rigondeaux may want to throw his name into the hat, it's probably the only way he will get three fights in a years timespan. He wins a tournament like that and he can retire on top.

If this is true Rigo will be gutted he could of just waited for this instead of having to move up 2 weight divisions.

Most people, boxing fans included are not interested in anything that goes on from 130 Pounds and below.

The interest starts at 135 Pounds and upwards, with very few exceptions.

So if a company is looking at bankrolling a new World Boxing Super Series it must be at the from 135 lbs (LHW) and upwards.

Anything below is proven to be a bad idea, because of the lack of interest even among actual hardcore boxing fans

Is this confirmed? I feel like it implies the WBSS did very poorly. Those would be like the cheapest, but also the least broadly appealing, divisions.

Sounds good! Obviously there's a lot of really good guys and matchups at feather, and if Schaefer can get the Haymon guys, Russell, LSC, Selby, it would be surely as good as about any division. Bantamweight too would be nice. It's quietly become one of the most competitive divisions, and there shouldn't be the problems getting the top guys as at other divisions. Every division should certainly be part of the wbss mandate. Let's not complain till we see who's selected, who's in it is what makes it worthwhile! 122 wouldn't make sense, shouldn't be two weights beside each other.
