He tried his best and was gentlemanly in defeat. How do you think he stacks up against the rest of the division?
Considering he was able to have Stipe hurt a number of times and only another punch away from winning I would say he stacks up very well .
Francis only landed a few punches of significance, namely the uppercut. You could see the facial damage on Stipe almost immediately but thankfully he was able to avoid the follow-up with good head movement.
he will be dangerous to anyone because of his power clearly... but hes not the machin theufc was trying to hype him up to be before thefight.... the way the announcer was hyping him up on his way to the ring... and then his performance was hilarious.. they made him sound like the badest man on the planet.
One trick pony. Dangerous but lacks a lot of things. Big men don't always have to rely on physicality & power, ask Fury! He is too one dimensional & the hype was totally over the top. Stipe is the best UFC HW ever. He earned that moniker the hard way & the proper way & against the odds time & again.
Miocic win was more about how good he is then anything else. Its a shame he seems to have so many haters I think he did well considering only been in the sport just over 6 years. Both guys had won there last 4 fights by 1st round stoppage and Ngannou did better then Overeem and 3 former champions did against Stipe. The only fight for Miocic now until Velasquez comes back is Werdum. Blaydes will start coming into contention if he beats Hunt who says he is leaving the UFC unfortunately after UFC 221
Nganoo is like a clone of A.J real name Femi Olaseni. A steroid abusing sack of ****, hits hard, no stamina, average skills. Gets by on overwhelming size and steroid power. Femi is an an easy fight for Tyson Fury. Thats a 12-0 schooling.
Stacks up about the same at or near the top. Still fairly green, and was getting by on sheer size, and strength, doing what he was doing with pretty much no technique. If he can get with a camp that will teach him a few small things, he will be champ in the future. Them teaching him something as simple as lowering his hips a bit in his stance would have helped him a lot last night.
Couldn't agree more with an mma fighter who commented on how Ngannou looked like a baby learning to walk because of the buildup of lactic acid in his muscles. Very painful to watch, indeed.
All Nganno has is punching power and size. His boxing technique is actually really poor. He has no wrestling, no submissions and zero stamina. He was exhausted after 2 minutes. He needs to work on everything. Brock Lesnar would take him down and beat his ass. Nganoo has no wrestling at all. Shane Carwin was smashing everyone also with brutal Ko's but he also was also a legit World level Amateur wrestler. And Carwin would smash Nganno also.
Miocic closed the gap and took Francis down because he was able to avoid his dangerous punches with good head movement and agility. Stipe also has good hands to compliment his punch awareness. Brock has the wrestling but it's hard to imagine him not getting clipped at least once, and if that happens,it's all downhill from there.
Brock takes him down the fights over. This is someone who has no wrestling and has a 2 minute gas tank,. Brock would maul him. Jesus by the second Nganno was moving like a snail due to fatigue. You could see his haymakers coming from miles away by that point in round 2. Nganno is not even a skilled boxer. He just hits hard.
