As KO chaos is coming closer and closer.... I had this thinking about Ngannou and his chances against some boxers from last 15 years

I don't doubt much that he would probably kill majority of boxers on the street (combination of grappling, strikes and kicks and knees is deadly).

But I came to conclusion that he could not win 12 rounds HW boxing Championship against absolute majority of opponets unless he hits absolute lucky wonder punch of his life.

I don't buy that BS that he can build such a heat to break down well prepared TOP HW with a couple of exceptions which I will say later.

If I take Ngannou current version, I would give him a chance against Wilder (any version) and CURRENT version of Dilian Whyte. Why? Wilder doesn't know how to deal with a pressure and stylistically doesn't have right tools to overcome Ngannou. Which is good for boxing, because Wilder beated nobody in his career. It would not humiliate our sport.

Why he would beat Whyte? Because Whyte is brawler without chin. However, I do believe that Whyte around 2015 etc. would survive with Ngannou and got a decision.

Who else from last 15 years?

Yes, right... Klitschko brothers. Vitali has more proven chin and he would be too awkward for Ngannou, his workrate would bring Predator to heartattack (in better) case.

Wlad.... I would expect KO from prime WIadKO. His jab, his movement, his calculations and right hand are all bad for Ngannou. He would never let Franco hit his jaw.

Chris Byrd would outpoint Francis.... He is too Slick, good footwork and head movement.

David Haye.... Too fast for Ngannoua, he would never catch him clean, this would be UD for Haye.... I think that Francis would look like an amateur against Haye ... Even more than against Klitschkos... That's stylistically nightmare.

Joshua - we will see soon how Joshua single handed rescues HW boxing from humiliation (still don't understand why so many boxing fans go against AJ... Its like you go against family).

Usyk - nightmare, Ngannou would look 3x worse than against Haye

Hrgovic - jab jab jab.... Ngannou would not be able to KO Hrgo, Hrgo has an amateur background..... It would be jab jab jab all night long.

Zhang, big danger for reckless Ngannou to get caught from counterpunches..... I see a similar scenario like with Wladimir, TKO in favor of Zhang.

Frankie Sanchez..... Battle of Frankies.... I got Sanchez by UD, terrible match up.

Povetkin - disaster for Cameroon lion, if the ref is not a wrestling Guy..... Russian Combinations can push Ngannou to quit, Povetkin would make him pee Blood. Too skilled and too hard hitting.

Chisora - younger Chisora big trouble for Ngannou

Jalolov - yes, you hear right.... Jalolov would destroy Franco as well. His movement and stance would be too much.

Guys like Beterbiev and Opetaia or Breidis would be also dangerouy for Ngannou.......

I believe that Ngannou would regularly beat guys from super Middle weight ..... But his lack of skills would not help him to win title in bigger weight categories... UNLESS he becomese a pro and amateur boxer at least 10 years earlier.

You can't really judge Ngannou based on one fight but in that one fight he did look very impressive. It would be no surprise if he stops AJ and also not a surprise if he gets stopped himself.

I think we will no more after the Joshua fight. One fight is too small a sample, even though he did really really good against fury. If he beats Joshua, holy **** it’s like slum dog millionaire.

I don't disrespect Ngannou. He is a phenomenal fighter and athlete generally. But I feel that his debut exposed more Fury. And Ngannou is on the hype wave of "Miraculous boxer".

Suddenly all Fury problems make sense. I mean, his loss against McDermott, his possible loss against Wallin, his dirty Fighting against superior out of prime Cunningham...... His several dives against Wilder...

Ngannou fight only proved that prime agressive Wlad or Wlad from AJ fight would break down and crack Fury in a brutal fashion.

On the street? Whoever gets hit first probably loses. Ngannou probably not looking to grapple much in that situation, the boxer too is not constrained by boxing rules don't forget that.

He’s had one boxing fight, let’s see how he does on his next one.

It's way too early to judge how he will do. He might be a once in a lifetime freak athlete who's able to compete at the highest level in boxing with very little training, or he might just be a big strong lug who exposed Fury because Fury is shot and makes embarrassing himself his full time occupation these days. If Joshua takes him apart a lot of posters on here are going to look like idiots and all this hype will be put into its proper perspective. On the other hand if he smashes Joshua to bits then we can start talking seriously. But let's wait for March 8 first.

Difficult to judge how good he is based on one fight against chubby fury.

The jury is still out but let's keep in mind that Fury beats guys like Whyte and Chisora without breaking a sweat, so even if he didn't train proper it was still an impressive performance for Francis. If he loses to AJ but still wants to have a go at boxing, I think Whyte or Dubois would be a good measuring stick.

    What’s an opponent’s vs Ngannou’s measuring stick?

An uninformed a very underprepared Fury? Obviously.

Hard to tell really as he's only had the one pro bout. But even in loss he looked as those he deserved to be there in that deep end debut bout.

If he beats AJ, and IF he does it'll be brutal, trust me.

Ngannou then, in two pro fights against BIG names can very possibly become something of a real life Rocky character....

    WAR Ngannou!

Are you saying that an 18 month older, dethroned Wlad was better than the version Fury beat?

Wlad looked better against AJ but in my opinion, he looked better because his opponent was inferior to Fury. Wlad has always trained hard and come to each fight in top condition. I'm a Wlad fan and wanted him to win but Fury managed to bamboozle him.

    Yep.

This Ngannou circus has got to stop.

And I expect AJ to stop it.
