The entire match would just be Wilder running away in circles trying not to get grabbed by Ngannou and throwing a super quick and weak jab and running away some more to not get countered.
It would be but Francis isn't dumb, smartest move for him would be to just grab and rag doll him to the ground. He essentially rag dolled a 280 lbs Fury. Only name boxer I could remotely see doing ok in MMA would be Terrence Crawford as he has a wrestling background through his family. Even then it would probably be a year training with BJJ and kicks to make a decent showing.
Lomachenko seems to have at least a little bit of a martial arts background based on the way he was kicking in this video. But yeah, Crawford would be the guy who would be able to transition best to MMA because of his wrestling background. Not that he ever would or should, obviously. The skill level of heavyweight mma is so abysmal that Wilder probably could transition if he would have started when he was younger. I think it's way too late now, though. He's almost forty now. Plus, he was never a huge guy. The Stipe who fought Francis in their first fight struggled to keep him on the ground because of Francis' immense size, strength and just enough of his grappling ability. Stipe did land some hard ground and pound shots here that took the fight out of Francis and there but he struggled to keep him down. Wilder doesn't have those same physical attributes. He just has insane punching power. This content is protected
