ONE president said he was demanding to be on the board of directors and ability to pick opponents (and even what percentage they can make!!!). Turned down a $24 million contract w/UFC earlier this year. When this delusional moron is back to busking on the streets of Paris in a couple years he'll finally realize the opportunities he wasted.
This can't be smart - he'll never be accepted back by UFC, he's 37 and 20 million is an amount of money MMA fighters will continue to dream of making for entire career, even if being legends.
37 for punchers isn’t the same as 37 for other fighters. Ngannou has such nightmarish power that he can potentially compete well into his 40s. That being said, if ONE isn’t looking to negotiate any further, then this turns out to really be a stupid move.
He has power, yes, much of it comes from PEDs (yeah, I know - "he never tested positive" - like it's necessary to the obvious). He's slow, he lacks technique even for MMA, he has pathetic cardio and his IQ inside (or outside) the ring is none. It doesn't even make sense that "37 for punchers isn't the same as 37 for other fighters".
Are you saying he's on PEDs for a particular reason? Or just cause you assume most top fighters are on PEDs? Ngannou's body is very unPED like. Not saying he's not roiding but he doesn't scream PEDs. This content is protected
He definitely "screams" PEDs. 260 lbs natural abs after few years of training just by shoveling sands and eating spinach, yeah... This content is protected
Dana said Ngannou will never be accepted back. Seems they're afraid their golden chicken will be beheaded. I think Ngannou might appear a bit greedy, but he is right about one thing other mice in UFC say nothing about - the freedom, the right to choose sponsors and the health insurance.
He was homeless and malnourished. Not that crazy to believe. His body is perfectly attainable without steroids.
It´s only smart if it works out. Right now it doesn´t look to be working out. I guess he really wants to box but is willing to see what MMA has to offer him. *I don´t think a boxing fight with him vs any big name would be as lucrative as some envision.
