I had Ngoudjo winning it 7-4-1, but he was fighting the hometown guy after all and had three american judges scoring the fight and an american referee who let Paul clinch at will and who took his time seperating both fighters. So with that said I knew he would not get the decision, he should have scored at least a knockdown or two when he had the chance in the 7th.

Unfortunately for Herman instead of patiently setting up his punches when he had Paul hurt he got a little wild with his shots instead and let his window of opportunity pass him, although the refere letting Paul clinch for as long as he did did not help his cause at all. HBO also seems to be looking to set up Paul for an eventual showdown with Hatton or another big name in the division down the line, so they weren`t going to let some obscure Montreal fighter ruin their plans and get in the way of that.

Herman should have been aware of all this and fought accordingly, as he should have known going into the fight there was no way he was going to win a decision and would have had to knock Paul out or at least knock him down a few times to get a draw. I am a native Montrealer and was rooting for Ngoudjo but I saw this coming a mile away, and although I wouldn`t go as far as calling this fight an outright robbery I do feel the wrong man got the decision last night as in my book you don`t fights by fighting the way Paulie did.

    Anyways, just my 0.02$

I put 400 vcash on a draw. If I would have gotten that I would have around 10,000 vcash right now. It was just a hunch but I thought that Maggi wasnt taking the fight seriously and the other guy might do well.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but I've heard that Ngoudjo was robbed as well.

Because some people are being foolish and seem to have a personal vendetta against Paulie. Maybe their girlfriends are attracted to him or something. It was a close fight, nothing more.

Paulie landed less and with nothing but slaps. But he can hold with the big boys.

I had Ngoudjo winning but at worst I could live with 115-113 for Malignaggi. But Al Bennett who scored that fight 117-111 should never be allowed to work on a title fight ever again. What a load of crap.

I meant boxing writers like Doug Fisher or any of the guys from Maxboxing and other sites you dip****. i dont like the commentators either, especially the british ones on Sky. Anyways, my point is only that if this was a real robbery, i would have read about it somewhere, espn, foxsports, cbssportsline, ***********.com, somewhere. no one mentions a robbery. :nono

    I couldn't agree more.
Did you compare their faces after the fight?
From now on, Herman should just go f*cking nuts in his fights. Caution to the wind sort of stuff.
I could live with a draw but if a winner HAD to be chosen, it was Herman.
