Nice bit of insight from Camp Froch

Ah!! No mate. I was saying there were 4 outcomes for which you could make a very good case in this fight (5 if you count the draw).

Yes I really think so. Both have good chins to last the distance, but at the same time Froch is wildly open and has been hurt in all his fights at world class. If Kessler found the consistency of punch he was famed for he could stop him. Kessler could be lacking some confidence, if he goes into his shell the heavy handed Froch could tee off on him and break him down late. Froch also has the punches to get around and through Kessler's guard.

Kessler has the technique to outbox him and win on points if he was at his best, but thats no guarantee, Froch may have more heart and will down the stretch and could sneak it on the cards.

Nothing would suprise me but I've got a feeling which way I'll go. :good

 

I'm sticking with Kessler points but I'm not massively confident.

 

I think a Kessler stoppage IF his confidence is back. He controlled distance beautifully before he met Calzaghe and now he seems to stay in range too long and get tagged. His punch variety has diminished too. While he's always been a jab-straight fighter, he did use hooks and a solid uppercut. That seems to have fallen by the wayside, but if Montoya's focusing on his adaptability then I expect he'll beat Froch fairly easily.

 

Everyone realises how good Andre Ward is when this fight happens.

 

Yeah, maybe. A lot of people are taking Ward-Kessler as a sign that Kessler was either overated all along or is on the slide.

Maybe its just that Ward is something special...?

 

It's strange that the older fighter is thinking the other guy might be past it, but I guess Kessler has been in the ring more.

I'll be rooting for Froch anyway cause I'm a big fan of his, but I could see it going either way.

It is going to be a belter, both guys are strong, both guys can be hit, neither has much of a speed advantage, neither will step back and there's tons on the line. FOTY candidate if ever there was one.

Andre Ward wouldn't headbutt somebody with a sharp, triangular shaped head.

 

Kessler looked out of sorts and incredibly slow. Ward did a great job, but let's not start saying he's special until we see him against Green and Dirrell. That'll tell us how special he is.

I think, as well as Ward did, Kessler wasn't doing the things he normally does. When he threw two or three jabs, he would land and then he didn't follow up. He didn't move as well as he can and stayed inside with the guy with better inside technique... it was a tactical disaster.

Kess just doesn't look right somehow. I'm going with Froch stopping him.

 

Kessler stops Froch.

 

At the last viewing of Ward-Kessler I counted over a dozen times where Kessler should have pulled the trigger but didn't. Thing is it wasn't Ward luring him in, sometimes Ward would open up then whilst moving back was open..... and Kessler did nothing, just stood there with his guard up.

If that Kessler turns up, which I believe will, he's in big trouble, Froch late stoppage/UD.
