Nice KO win for Bute, but he would still lose against Ward, Froch, B-Hops & Kessler

    Sure they would.:rofl

You are the guy who used to claim that Hopkins would beat Wlad!

You are a prime example of a weak little white ***** trying to live a fantasy life through the potential accomplishments of others.

I happen to agree with him. In fact, I started this thread.

I believe Hopkins and Ward both beat Bute in lopsided decisions because at the end of the day, they are more talented and have much higher ring IQs.

I know you are the TS, I am perfectly literate. I am simply amazed at how easily many feel Bute will lose to the usual suspects. You claim Hopkins and Ward would win "lopsided decisions" due to more talent and a superior rng I.Q.. You would have better luck convincing me the Earth is flat.

Claiming that Bute would not be competitive with anyone from 168-75 is wildly shortsighted.

Ward has already made grumblings about ducking Bute and he's not even out of the super 6 tournament yet.

The other fighters at super middleweight know how dangerous he is. That's why no one ever calls out Bute and why he wasn't invited to the super 6 tourney.

    Based on WHAT?

His win against all time great Jean Paul Mendy?

His stellar performance against future Hall of Famer Jesse Brinkley?

Or perhaps beating a 20 second count against Andrade?

Bute is a talented but flawed fighter who has never faced an A-level opponent, and there is a reason for this.

Bute is biding his time while guys like Ward and Froch have run the gauntlet of tough competition in hopes that he will be fresh and prepared, but Jean Pascal addressed this fact recently on our show.

Yeah, Bute will be fresh alright but he will lack the big fight experience required to compete at this level.

If you doubt that guys like Ward and Hopkins are more talented than Bute, I don't know what to tell you.

If you doubt they have higher ring IQs I find that even more perplexing.

Bute has never fought a versatile grade-A talent with multiple dimensions to his game like those fighters have.

You can sit there and say Bute will do this and Bute will do that, but at the end of the day he's never done anything at a top level, period!

And who's he gunning for in November? A damaged alcoholic who hasn't won a significant bout in HOW LONG? How typical.

I just hope Bute grows some balls and at least fights Pavlik next. Bute has already been KO'd once. Pavlik has a chance to make it happen again, even this past it version of Pavlik.

I agree, but Pavlik looked very unimpressive last time out.

I give Pavlik a slim chance. He does have the power to take Bute out, I just wonder whether he has the timing to catch him.

i find your statement laughable thread starter. bute has more punching power than all of the fighters you mentioned. bute is also a better athlete than all of those guys. he beats all 4 of them.

Interbox is working on Bute vs Pavlik on November 5th. Bute said he's ready to fight in USA.

The last time he fought a skilled, smart, fast southpaw who moved up from 168, people were clamoring for Hopkins to retire. That's how bad he looked. Since then all he did was get older and slower, but he hasn't fought the total package who can make him look that bad since. Lucian can. He's not beating Bute, and you can take that to the bank.

Hopkins can keep looking like a master fighting mental midgets in the ring, but after he looks horrible against Bute people will once again beg him to retire.

    And they'll be right.

Umm, Bute got up at 9...

When ALL the best Super Middleweights (and whatever Allan Green is) are tied up in a tournament, or "badly injured" and considering retirement, that doesn't leave you with much... Except mandatories.... No good middleweights moving up... If they do, they're not ready for real competition yet (Pavlik)... The best available fighter out there is Bika, but he already beat him....

Hopkins has/had a higher ring IQ than Jermain Taylor AND Joe Calzaghe combined... but he's 0-3 against them..

Hopkins loses to Bute.... Why~?? Lets see....

Hopkins had some trouble against Jean Pascal.... Strong kid... fast kid.... talented kid.... But he fights in spots.... That's the same guy Hopkins fought to a draw with (disputed draw yes, but it was a DRAW)

Bute is a big kid who's pretty stong himself.... fast kid... talented kid... DOESN'T fight in spot... Has more in his arsenal tha Pascal has... Speed and movement.... All he really needs to beat Hopkins at this stage of his career..
