I'd say so. He is also more cherished in Mexico due to the fact that Barrera (in terms of Mexicans) was upper class.

Mind you, so was James Toney so I'm not saying it makes you any less of a fighter. Just that Morales is more of a 'peoples champ' from what I can gather.

Can't remember individual scores but I feel Barrera deffo got the better of their trilogy. Had the first fight 115-112 Barrera (don't score even rounds and counted the kd as it was part of the official scoring, though it clearly wasn't a kd)

Great fighters that unlike the Chacon/Limon type fighters mixed up aesthetically pleasing performances with good resumes. Both between 5-10 on any alltime Mexican list, though everyone has their own way of ranking Barrera and Morales and as I say, it is fairly hard to seperate them. I'd say Barrera fares better H2H, but that's purely subjective.

The press conference was prioor to their second fight. Why ? They did not like each other at all. Erik has the better resume in my opinion, but Marco went 2-1 which was correct , but maybe the first 2 results should be switched.

Both ATG's. Both just amazing to watch for a variety of reasons.

That is criminally underrating Morales, who's resume takes a huge steaming dump all over Marquez's. :good

    Barrera and Morales - 60-70
    Marquez - 100-110

Im not want to spoil the thread but stupid **** needs addressed....

    1. Barrera gets that response in the UK because he beat Naz, plain & simple.

    2. You think 1 was a robbery ?.... what about fight 2 ?... at least keep it real.

    3. Thats all.

    1. Would never deny it. The McKinney/Morales/Naz fights were what originally made me a fan :good

    2. The second fight was a lot closer than the first fight. You could argue either way for Morales/Barrera in fight 2 (I personally had it to MAB as I stated before) nobody should really ever argue the correct outcome of the first fight :good

More his character (or what appears to be his character, I dont know him after all) than in the ring, he is a great fighter in the ring, he does foul when things arent going his way too but I cant fault him from a skill or technical point.... I rank Morales a little higher tho, its close.

I think the opposite tbh, I saw the 1st fight as 50/50 & the 2nd a clear Morales win... but thats the beauty of their styles, the majority of their rds were hard to call so there`s always debate.

    :good
