Yeah I couldn't stand him when I first saw him, but he has won me over. I've seen a few interviews where he has been very honest and self-aware, and he does his best to maximize the talent he has. He can certainly be a *****, no argument there. But I reckon as far as his family and close friends go, he's a stand-up guy. He seems to be an intelligent man in and out of the cage, he speaks well, he's not afraid to step up and face big challenges, and he fights to win. He has certainly earned my respect. :hat
Never understood or bought into the Bisping hate. I think the yanks didn't warm to his smug British banter, they hated on him, he bought into it and now he has this bad guy persona. Same with Evans, people probably didn't like his smugness and somehow he became a hate figure, which I don't really get. Sometimes the fight game is like panto and not reality.
Only blamed himself for the loss. No training camp excuses, biased judges, fouls, nothing. Classy interview. New fan of the arrogant Britard
Yeah. He did a whole lot better than most people were expecting. And much like Chael after the Silva fight I might not like him but I've gained a lot more respect for him.
Hes a bit like Froch arrogant but tries to back it up and takes the big fights when theyre offered. I liked that he shot down the training camp thing straight away, he was offered an excuse on a plate and turned it down.
:deal Pretty sure after the result was announced he was about to go into his strop ***** mode, but then quickly caught himself, and realized this would be a great chance for him to regain some face. And he took it
Too bad he didn't his chance to fight Maia, He would have likely put on a clinic against Maia. not to mention Maia would not of had much success getting him to the ground. Either way Bisping is around top 5 material now.
Lost a fight I thought he'd won but mad props to him for taking it on the chin so to speak. Done himself no harm in getting another big fight on a big card.
