It's also interesting how in another interview Kovalve mentioned how he did not want to finish ward off earlier as he wanted to display he was the better boxer and there was times in there that he did in fact show that.

Saying that it was a grave mistake believing that he could be afforded such a luxury, because all Ward had to do that night was to simply survive irrespective of what occurred during the rounds and his american buddies would do the rest in ensuring his hands were raised at the end of the bout.
