"You know what the odds are fighting a fighter like Lomachenko. You're not going to beat him on a decision; you got to knock him out. I fought (Jason) Sosa and I beat him clearly and they called it a draw. What do you think if it was Lomachenko? I would have a loss on my record. You have to know what the odds are when you take a fight, so the odds with taking a fight with Lomachenko, you have to knock him out to win. With me taking that odds, you need to pay me for that." http://www.badlefthook.com/2016/5/3...plains-turning-down-career-high-offer-to-face

    - We know Walters is lying because Lomachenko actually officially lost to Salido in a fight that could have been scored a draw and according to one judge, 7-5 Loma. If it was that close, especially considering the excessive fouling from Salido, you would have expected Loma to be handed the decision, especially given he is targeted as Arum's no.1 prize fighter.

Walters here is saying clearly that he would lose a decision to Lomachenko.

Walters wants to act like $550k is nothing. He earned nothing against all of his opponents put together. That guy is no way near a millionaire.

He would have earned $850k if he won, Walters conveniently doesn't mention that.

    Walters is a FRAUD.

It's a shame because Walters would be Lomochenko's coming out show.

On paper a tight fight, in reality easy work for Lomo.

Seems to me he is saying that he wouldn't get a fair decision against Lomachenko

That's exactly what he's saying and I can understand it up to a point,( A iot of bad calls lately) but the bottom line is, he has to take his shot when he gets it. Take it out of the judges hands.

On what basis though? The only disputable decision Loma's been involved in was a dubious loss.
If he thinks TR were somehow involved in the Sosa draw, that makes no sense given that Arum had his eyes on Walters fighting Loma, and would want it to be as big as possible.

    That's a bunch of BS.
He is conveniently forgetting that Arum wins either way. If Walters beats Lomachenko, Walters would be seen as the unbeatable boxer, NOT Lomachenko.

Also, Arum being in control means nothing as Lomachenko wasn't awarded the decision let alone a draw against Salido.

I guess on the basis that Lomachenko is the more promising, younger guy in general, thus they'll want Lomachenko to win more than him.

Lomachenko will beat Walters, too good of a boxer and hard to hit........

Lomachenko should have won the fight with Salido................Salido should have been disqualified, but Lawrence Cole was the damned referee, the worst ref in boxing history. Salido hit after the bell, low blows from rd. 1 to 12, hit behind the head and Lomachenko still had Salido out on his feet in the 12th round.....................Lomachenko is the best boxer in the world today.................
