Walters won because he annihilated his body. Great body shots. He barely landed anything to the head. Marriaga, good fighter, either he lacks power or Walters is too big, but he landed huge rights that should have put Walters to sleep.

 

My only question is, where does Lomachenko go from here? Hopefully he fights two more times instead of that one time they were planning.

 

Even if Walters can make 126 again I now have him behind Selby in the weight division. Walters was ordinary both offensively and defensively, if he wasn't the bigger guy the result would've been different as he was the inferior boxer there

 

On a losing streak I see.

 

The power wasn't there tonight as much (or perhaps Marriaga posses a good mandible) but I was impressed with Walters boxing tonight, he was circling well, mixing up shots, body punches, good jab, footwork, defense (except for the right hand, he was getting caught a bit by that).

 

You have a problem with every black fighter dude. Loma would get knocked out by Walters, his chin and power are not on the same level as marriaga. Who beat Walters in the amatuers. Loma would get walked down.

Walters has done more in boxing, and has beaten better fighters. Why on earth is this guy Loma getting so much hype for beating Gary? gary has not beaten anyone himself.

I think the weight cut is too much for walters, dude is killing himself. 130 would be good.

yeah but he, like a lot of other fighters who does this, likes that size advantage. kind of took a bit of shine off the win tonight because of that.
