If Inoue can’t keep Ball off, he’s in a world of trouble, like I said, it’s not just that Ball is a Featherweight, it’s him being a Featherweight combined with the fact he’s been looking elite himself, he can close the distance very well and bully guys on the inside, if Inoue can’t keep him of and deal with him physically, he’s gonna need some Pernell Whittaker level slickness which he simply doesn’t have. People are just assuming Inoue is gonna keep carrying his power up, there will become a point of diminishing returns as he moves through the weights.
Inoue is probably the hardest punching fighter in the lower weights since Naz. There are levels in boxing and Inoue is a level above Ball.
We’ll have to agree to disagree here mate, fair play you are just backing your man. It’s not even about bringing his power up to 126lbs in this one for me, it’s about levels. Ball barely got past Raymond Ford, he would be totally outclassed against Inoue.
Inoue is a level above ****ing everyone around his weightclass. Ball is still a beast and very good fighter though, Make a thread Inoue vs anyone and it's the same story, he destroys them all. And he'd beat the **** out of Naz too if he was around now.
Very subjective regarding Naz. Hamed is naturally bigger and Inoue wouldn’t have been in with anyone who hit like Naz. That could be a fight of the ages with a few knockdowns.
Nah mate according to Hearn he’s ducking Akhmadaliev! Even though Inoue fought Tapales for undisputed straight after Tapales beat Akhmadaliev. But whatever.
How was Naz overrated? He was the dominant featherweight of his time. He beat several world champions. He was box office and changed the landscape for the lower weights. Arguably Britains best p4p puncher in recent times. He lost once in his career to another great. Funnily enough Barrera says his best ever win was against Hamed and he named him as the smartest and best boxer he faced.
Went life and death with a shot to pieces Kelley mate. Smartest? Barerra schooled him like nothing at that time.
By the time Barrera got to Naz his ego had already beaten him. Decent documentary on it below (unfortunately pretty low quality video) This content is protected
He wasn't what he was 5-6 years before but he wouldn't beat Marco on his best day. Erik he would have maybe.
