Agree he'll catch him with something big as soon as Ball tries to rush him he's too good to fall for Balls way of fighting

 

In hindsight it might be a kind of Hatton-Pac-Man occasion, Brits hyped up and off to Tokyo to see their man, only for it to last 5 minutes.

 

Inoue woould beat the scouse out of Nick Ball, but the fight wont happen as Ball wont have his belt by the time Inoue is ready to move up

 

Frampton saying he would have Ball as favourite to beat Inoue is up there with Spencer Oliver picking Robert Guerrero to beat Mayweather.

 

I was ringside for that fight and tbf to that idiot Spencer Oliver, Mayweather had been off for 2 years. He then put in a near perfect performance.

Anyone who thinks Ball will beat Inoue, and there are plenty of posters on here on a separate thread a month or so back that were saying he could and would, is clueless. It would be about as competitive as Inoue v Butler.

 

In hindsight? Come on Bob, you are a knowledgeable poster you cannot think he stands an actual chance. I can appreciate fans buying into certain boxers, but people have to be realistic. Ball is very limited and only knows one way to box, to come forward. You stand in front of Inoue and you get hurt. He will get smashed to pieces.

 

I don't think Ball would win but that Butler display was pathetic and in all honesty a bit out of order on Ball lol

 

It was very negative I agree, but what’s Ball going to do? He’s going to come forward in straight lines, swinging for the fences and get his clock cleaned, most likely early. Then he will either stay down or go into run and survive mode ala Butler. He has never boxed anyone with his ability or power and I am far from an Inoue fanboy.

 

Ball should be looking to unify at featherweight before thinking about a potential Inoue fight. Ridiculous to think he should cash out now.

 

My own opinion is that Inoue smashes Ball to pieces as he is far too easy to hit and he will stay hit when the Little Monster delivers.

 

Was this the last Queensberry card on TNT? If so, it won't go down as a classic. Baluta is wild and ragged but his workrate is off the charts. I didn't think Strand did enough to take the decision away from the judges, but still felt sorry for him given the dodgy knock down. Cain Edwards was farcical, from the 'action' in the ring to the cards afterwards. I don't know how Steve Gray could give that 115-113 to Edwards. I'd have hated to see Edwards rewarded for that approach with a win. Herrera v Macias was ok, Herrara is a bit wild and a better opponent would've dispatched him, but he's quite fun to watch. Doheny is a tough cookie and quite a canny fighter. He did give Ball problems, but looked to be struggling with the pace from R3 onwards. He needs to call it a day, by the end of the fight he looked an old man in a young mans game. The ride with Ball will be fun whilst it lasts. No doubt Warren will have him back in Liverpool soon.

Not the best card, but I'll miss Queensberry on TNT, been watching them ever since the BT deal was struck and I've enjoyed their shows overall far more than their domestic competitors. Warren has a good eye for talent and the commentary and studio presenters have generally been better (or maybe less annoying is better word) than the Sky competition.

 

I believe Joyce and Hrgovic card is the last. Going out with a bang.

I agree with you that BT/TNT has been better than DAZN etc. It's been more traditional. No women multi-sport presenters who add no value, no Bellew and Johnny Nelson etc. Gimps like that.

 

It has been more traditional. There's also been less blatant deception by the commentary/punditry team. It's bad enough to watch a robbery in progress, but when the 'house' commentators and pundits dutifully fall behind their paymasters design it becomes much, much worse. That's not to say they've not been guilty of this, but it's rarely reached the levels that Sky or latterly Boxxer have attained where it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that Nelson will tell us that grass is blue or Bellew will confidently assert that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Cards have been up and down as ever with some filler fights I could do without, but when they're good they're better than any of their competition.

Haha, sorry, that's exactly what I meant... just as Hatton went on the front foot against Pacquiao and was on his back in about 6 minutes, that's kind of what I'd expect Ball to suffer off Inoue. It's a shame as the Brit hype machine would actually build him up to have a chance before it gets that far...

People are talking about TNT being less biased than DAZN but I was surprised to hear Frampton basically giving Ball every chance in this bout, I don't see it at all...
