Live on Ch5 with Hughie on the undercard vs TBA. Never seen Jones box, undefeated in 13. Anyone know if this has the makings of a good bout?
I saw jones in his eliminator for english title against grant cunningham (10-0) the fight was stopped at the end of the 5th due to a cut. Jones was a point up at the time ( i had same score) he started very fast with some nice skills. But seemed to start blowing in the 4th with cunningham getting on top landing some big shots. Shame how the cut cut short an entertaining fight. Their was talk of rematch but was told jones was dropping down a weight but fair play to him for taking the fight. Blackwell will stop him 7-9
Decent enough fight and good to see him headlining a card on terrestrial TV. Daws And Safa are on the undercard as well.
In the past Blackwell has been lacklustre against 'easy' opposition - he nearly blew the fight he has immediately after his brilliant performance against Khomitsky. Lets hope he keeps his focus for this one!
