The ironic thing is, Blackwell's initial injury was to his frontal lobe which amongst its many other functions, controls your impulses and judgement.

Wilkins the trainer and Karkardi issued a joint statement " We will be challenging both the board's
procedure's and their findings " Are they kidding ? Both are villain's and brought great shame on
boxing and i say good riddance to both.

They have a right to challenge if it was Nick's idea and he didn't inform the sparring partner of his condition.

Everybody does have their right to appeal. But this was a highly publicized case and it was a licensed
trainer and licensed professional boxer so there are zero excuses for their behaviour.

    Who are you, Nick's brother?

Nick is the only one responsible for this, he knew the risks, yet ignored them.

So you are basically saying a professional boxer who must have some ability did nothing wrong
in punching a boxer who has suffered a brain injury ? And he didn't know the risks and the trainer
    too ?

Have you ever been inside a boxing gym?

Not everyone who walks in there would have heard of Nick Blackwell, as much as he'd like to believe.

If he omitted disclosing information from the gym and the sparring partner, then it is not their responsiblity to be psychic or have foreknowledge of his condition.

It was front page news and all over social media . It wasn't some club fight it was for the Commonwealth
title. Karkardi was a profession LW 7 -1 how would he have not heard of Nick Hall ?

I think you mean back page news. I doubt it was headlining anywhere in Iran, which is where Karkardi is from and the man can barely speak a word of English.

The commonweath title you say?! You make it sound as if he was fighting for the undisputed middleweight championship in Las Vegas at prime time hours.

The fight was on channel 5 for goodness sake. Most brits don't have a clue who Nick Blackwell is let alone some obscure foreigner who boxes underground.

It's laughable to suggest that most boxers amateur or professional would have heard of Blackwell.

Hardly anyone on this forum knew of him prior to getting beaten by Eubank and you think his loss and injury has suddenly made him a household name. Ridiculous.

Well his manager is Steve Goodwin and he manages 8 MW contenders , 2 SM and 6 LHW currently and HW
contender Dereck Chisora . So i am sure Steve would have said something about Nick.

A rehearsed written statement inside a court is no proof of fluency.

This is Karkadi's own view of his level of English

''I honestly and truthfully understood almost no English at the time.''

I learned a few English words which I tried to communicate with. I didn’t understand words she was trying to say to me.”

Yes that certaintly sounds like the next Shakespeare in the making. You seriously think this man would be watching channel 5 and reading British papers to look out for Nick Blackwell?

Listen, this man obviously knew nothing of Blackwell, however there is the likelihood that the british born trainer would've known. However he was likely to have been heavily persuaded by Blackwell that he was ok to fight.

The trainer should be temporarily suspended if he had this foreknowledge, however I doubt the sparring partner knew anything.

To have their livelihoods taken away simply because a young man who was given a second chance in life - after doctors spent tireless hours working to save his brain and given over 100k worth of donations - thought he was invincible, is just ridiculous.
