It's the exact opposite. Go sparring and get hit by a bigger glove, and your head will go back. The small gloves allow you to take harder punches but it also allows you to land pin point shots to the chin or liver because it's easier to aim and probably lighter.

As far as glove design, the boxing gloves hurt more and you'll know if you get hit by both gloves.

Pure BS. MMA gloves are superior to boxing gloves. You never heard of MMA fighters with broken hands or brittle hands.

Also just accept that Nick Diaz has slow hands. James Toney at heavyweight is faster than him. He does not stand a chance in hell aganist Martinez and would be knocked out probably within seconds. He also would be knocked out within the first few rounds against Mayorga. The only boxer he has a chance against is Vargas and if it's a 12 round fight, he does not have a chance.

Nick Diaz is a natural talented fighter who could have been a world champion at boxing, but not at this weight class, and not for very long. He has about the talent as a Chavez Jr and should be trying to get a fight with someone like that. Or he can fight someone like James Kirkland. As far as power, Nick Diaz does not properly use his hips or legs in punching, he telegraphs his punches, this might work in MMA where kicks and grappling are a threat and punches can be wide and slow and still land on the chin because of those small gloves, but in boxing where the gloves are bigger, you telegraph a punch and you wont land it directly on the point of the chin, because any fighter will see and move his head.

Diaz does not move his head. The only reason I say he can be a champion is because he has a good chin. He is a Margarito style fighter, but without the years of practice.

Dana has a communist style organization. I don't necessarily like how its organized either, but this is what happens when one guy controls almost all of MMA. Boxing isn't as controlled but at the same time boxing has it's problems with mafia style extortion, paying off judges, and paying fighters to lose fights, and colorful characters like Don King who make Dana look like a saint.

the thing is. mma (UFC) makes good ppv number when they have a big fight and the money is good (very good), so why does than somebody don't get 4-6 million for 1 fight, when the numbers are right and he does a big fight like GSP vs. Penn. what do mma superstars get? compared too boxing superstars realy not much. and at the end, the guys who are already multi billioneres like fertittia bros make the big $ and the fighter who risk their lives make small amount of cash, thats not kumunism, thats more kapitalism.

If you look at what HBO shells out for crapy fights. and money that MMA guys get. I dont blame him for jumping to boxing. He should sign with GBP or Haymon, thats the best way to make some cash.

Diaz is going to get destroyed if he tries fighting someone with a pulse in his first few fights as a boxer.

And if he does fight a few stiffs before a name opponent he'll still get thoroughly destroyed by whoever the name fighter is.

You don't do one sport for most of your life, and then all of the sudden switch to a different one and expect to compete at a high level any time soon.

How about fight that Tommy Zbawhatever...that way one of these jokers knocks each other out and we don't have to hear about them anymore.

Because Tommy Zbikowski is in his 200lbs and has had 50 amateur fights.

If they were around the same weight it would make sense.

That shouldn't matter. This clown is calling out 3 fighters in 3 different weight classes. Rumor is Lacy wants a fight at Cruiserweight...and if he doesn't he's still going up to 175, Vargas is fat so where's he going to fight? 160? 168? And Mayorga fights at 154. Zbawhatever has been fighting at around 195 and with proper training he could easily get down to at least 180. I don't see the problem.

I say Lou DiBella throws $30k at this kid and feeds him to Martinez, the way he's talking Martinez might just humble him something real bad.

There's no boxing promotor that is going to be as stupid as Dana White who paid a clean million to Toney for fightin Couture. :rofl:lol::rofl

The effect on the brain is identical, there are numerous scientific studies about the relation between the ounces of th gloves and brain concusions the, but the MMA gloves produce more cuts.
