This is a big loss for MMA, Nick Diaz is one of the most complete fighters around, I really don't see why he would be quitting.
Ok so he was on par or a little below the B-level fighters many years ago. He has gotten better and improved in areas, but so has the "B-level" of the UFC. He has never even been tested against the elite fighters in the weightclass, never. What makes you think he can all of a sudden beat them?
I hope he boxes and get's his ass kicked,he thinks he will make millions if he starps on some bigger gloves, and thinks he's God now and only wants a fight with GSP. I would like to see him fight guys like Fitch,Kos Alves even Diego and Kampmann. And now Johnson and Marquardt are players in the division also.
If that's what it takes to make him comeback then its fine, but it will have to be one of the contenders or fringe contenders I think. (Not from the TV series)
I can't see how a fighter who can't wrestle can be considered one of the most compelte fighters around. And he's threatening quitting because Strikeforce are about make him fight one of those mean wrestlers than take him to the ground. It'll be the first wrestle he's faced since he lost to Sherk.
Explain to me why he's avoided facing wrestlers since Explain to me why he failed to complete takedowns against strikers like Noons and Daley Explain to me why he's acting up when asked to defend against Woodley - the first strikeforce fighter he's been asked to fight who's got good takedowns.
