Wow, this is ridiculous. As if Marijuana would affect your performance at all, Jesus Christ. 5 years? Seriously? What the hell, they might as well retire the guy.

Fighters have such an immense amount of tension from training and fighting, that I actually think smoking a joint once in a while, and relaxing, can be a good thing.

Silva gets a year. Jon Jones gets? Because pot is wayyyyy worse than cocaine right?! What a joke. They need Jones and Silva to generate revenue.....Diaz not so much. The guy talks a good game, then lately shows up to collect a paycheck and embarrass himself, while needing his hand held and babysat through contractual and pre fight obligations. Perhaps his high maintenance coupled with less than stellar performance helped sway the length of suspension, with input from his employer....or is that too conspiracy theory oriented?

5 years for good weeds, harsh, I've never smoked it(yes I'm a square) but I know if defo wouldn't improve your athletic performane if anything it would hinder you, fighters who lost to him while he was smoking that should be named and shamed

I don't know what you watched... I thought Diaz put a hell of a performance against *Anderson Silva.

When has he embarrassed himself with his performance, ever? You don't know what you're talking about.

He came to collect a paycheck. Antics, showboating and daring a guy to exchange doesn't win a fight.....actually fighting does. Sure, he did okay for having a layoff and moving up in weight, but that version of silva was tentative, and happy to win on points. It was a garbage fight to watch, but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

On one hand, I dont think weed should be illegal in anyway, even outside of sports.

Weed should not be on any banned lists for sports.

On the other hand, this particular clown got caught TWICE before for smoking weed, and knew if he was caught again, he'd have the book thrown at him and decided to do it anyway.

He should sue NSAC. If they ignore a clear WADA code violation for Mayweather, they are not in a position to ban or even warn anyone. They are a useless, corrupt entity that needs to be abolished.
