I don't like his commentary i think from his voice to his input just nothing special about it. Rather bland IMO..
At first i thought he was good, but he was very poor on the McCloskey - Prescott fight.I will give the guy a chance because he is here to stay.Darke was the best imo.
Really cannot believe the amount of criticism levelled at him! I really really like his commentary, I think he is very perceptive which is personally what I like to see from someone calling the fight.
Had no idea he did NFL before. Their loss is our gain tbh, really enjoy his commentary. He might not be an expert but he knows enough, sounds like he does his research well and works well with Jim Watt. Not as good as Darke but better than Smith or Rawling IMO
What about Steve Holdsworth (Eurosport) ? I don't watch alot of boxing on Eurosport but I've always enjoyed his left-field style. He's done the odd stint on Sky and ITV years ago but no one seems to keep him on.
Was excellent on it marra, really new his stuff Also loves his NHL and use to work from Channel 5 (or was it 4) late night for there show when he was freelance. I suppose he will pack that in to now he is with Sky full time
He is TERRIBLE!!!!!!! No idea what hes on about. Can't believe some people me, how can any1 think this joke is good.
Rawling seems like a decent fello on fighting talk (how come your not on there so much buncy?) and he seems like a genuine fan but there really is something missing I like Halling. Hes got an atmospheric voice. If he starts to know boxing like he did NFL then hes gona be really knowledgable One thing though, is that its obvious by the nature of sky they are not able to fully call it as they see it which restricts them although ive a feeling that the commentary on BoxNation is gona make sky seem like those 'freedom' radio broadcasts that used to be illegally broadcast in the Soviet bloc
