This content is protected Oh...my. Wasn't this Webb cat supposed to be a player at HW? I mean before Allen kayoed him, when he was still undefeated, this glass cannon had some people moderately hyped. When in reality he isn't even good enough to market as "the next David Price".
He was talked about a bit in the hardcore HW inner circle, but I don't think any of us seriously rated him. I knew he was a con after he ducked the Gorman fight. Allen proved it even further. I didn't know this fight was happening but the result isn't surprising in the slightest. Sokolowski is every bit as good as Allen despite his record.
Sokolowski is very underated because of his poor record. I would rate him very close to David Price level, and in fact when he fought Price he had Price in a lot of difficulties a couple of times. I remember Price turning his back to him twice, which is what he does when he is about to chuck it in. Had that fight been over 10 or 12, instead of over 6, then Pricey would have had a lot of problems. Webb was never that highly rated. He just managed to build an unbeaten record by fighting at a very low level of competition.
Yup. I would pick Kamil to beat Dave Allen everyday of the week provided he turned up to win. He would have beat Price if their fight was a couple of rounds longer too. Is there a better journeyman than Kamil?
Sokolowski is probably the best journeyman at the moment. Very under rated Webb is not the first prospect to go down against him.
Webb started losing only when he cut his hair off. If you notice he lost size as well when he did that. Long hair dreads Webb is still undefeated, he's one of THOSE fighters.
Yeah not a bad pick. He actually shows up in form more consistently than Allen who seems to be hot and cold. Yeah had that been an 8 rouder as opposed to a 6 Price would have lost. and even then it was pretty close. As far as HW's concerned he's pretty hard to top as a journeyman.
I think he's better than Price in most aspects in all honesty. Price just has size and game changing power over him.
