just back from the fight. On the night itself the better man won.there is no doubting that,i had it closer but i cant disagree with the result However,i thought cook/arthur showed great sportsman ship in the ring. They were very respectful to each other. But sitting next to where i was sitting were a good amount of nicky cook fans.iu have never come across a bunch of low lifes who seemed to want to try and intimidate any 'Sweaty' they could find i witnessed one of them go over to an old guy who was facing the other way talking to the person next to him and the lovable cockney started shouting at him going on about scott harrison.he had an england tracksuit top on and kept taking the badge and putting in the guys face.the guy was an arse i enjoy boxing banter and it being mixed with both sets of supporters but these guys seemed to give over the impression that they wanted trouble;trying to provoke ppl to get a reaction. i was also talking to a bunch of scousers who had a group of cook fans sitting behind them and they were goading them and making remarks about hillsburgh. scum.utter scum
There was a guy on here last night who stated that the Scottish fans there were booing straight at Khan as he walked past them straight after he had got knocked out. I guess these things work both ways. Personally I wouldn't get involved in all that stuff - but I guess there will always be some on both sides.
There always will be. I'm a scot but have always cheered on british sportsmen and women. I wanted Khan to win, Hamilton to win and hopefully Murray will finish off Nadal.
there may have been ...but there were mancunians around me who were booing him. but i can apprciate that not all cook fans are like that, there was some decent ones i was speaking to at great lenght.
I know a lot of cool people from Romford/Dagenham and lived around there for a while. No frills people. Kevin Mitchell is from 'Nam too. You get wankers everywhere, boxing in particular seems to attract pricks. Hatton's rabble are the worst i've come across......
Born and raised in East London. Live in Dagenham since 1983. Its always been this way and will never change. Its a working class area with working class people.
Yeah. I was actually pretty fed up for a while living inside of London and never settled too well, was waaaayyy happier after moving out to the east end and would happily move back there.
I met a load of ****s when I watched Enzo-Haye. Everyone seemed like they were there for a bit of a banter and a laugh as we were having with a couple of Welsh lads behind us but they come along and just because they're supporting Enzo try to start a fight. Course the moment the other 5 came back they all ****ed off. But it's alright because they're pwopa nawty cockney cheeky chappies from Landan.
The worst fight fans (by a long way) that I've encountered were Hayes "fans" at the O2. Pissed up cockneys who only went inside the area to watch the Mitchell-Johannsen fight because the bars shut, the ****ers were whinging like hell at the barstaff for "one more drink", like heroine addicts after another bag.
If I had been at that fight & witnessed the Arthur robbery, I would have taken down a few englanders who happened to be standing near my angry scottish ass. Am I a bad man? ****in right! Just kidding. or am I Letitbeknownmafellowjockosawidriptheirpoxy****inheedsaff! Bawbags that they ur!
