Gonzalez Perez is a 5'7.5 27 year old Light Welterweight with a 18-0 13 KO's record. Born in Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain fighting out of La Cabrera, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain. Nico as he's referred to in Spain is a very heavy handed fighter, and I have my fingers crossed that he might actually finally be a breakout star Spain so desperately needs. Outside of Gabriel Campillo and Kiko Martinez who've both seen far better days there hasn't been much to get excited about on the Iberian Peninsula. However there seems to be at least two bright spots in Sergio Garcia a talented Light Middleweight and

Gonzalez who's stopped all but 4 of his opponents and the 4 he hasn't stopped he dropped one of them and the other 3 were 4 rounders. He's a real Chico Guapo so he'll be really easy to market if he can manage to not get KO'd or lose like so many Spaniards on the brink of fame always manage to do.

look-wise, hair-wise, power-wise and fighting style reminds me of David Lemieux, some of his KO's are sickening. So Check this Kid Out he's somewhat brutal, The Sledgehammer Of Spain.:toney:toney:toney:toney

Nico has not been tested yet. As far as I know he hasnt fought out of spain still.

He kinds of remind me of lemieux. A very basic boxing skillset with a really really hard punching power. He commits in every hit, like lemieux too, it will make him to have stamina issues in the future in longer and more difficult fights.

    It's a prospect, let's see...

Yet, he's boxing very often to be spaniard, he has room for improvement.

EDIT: it's soon, tooooooo soon, to say if he's good or not.

Most of the guys I profile, its too soon to say with all of them, but at least he has the power and exciting style going for him which will hopefully get him some attention eventually. He'll probably go the same way may Spanish fighters have gone, but I hope not.

sorry he does remind me of Lemieux great left hook, needs a lot of work though don't want to see him lose terribly to the first guy he faces who can box and move well.

Nobody gives a damn about boxing in spain. Only 1 spaniard boxer every 20 years gets to be someone in this sport. El zar ptr petrov had to go to the US in order to be able to improve and have a decent career. I know, he's not spaniard, but he lives there. Well, maravilla maybe. Bad country to be a boxer. :conf

Edit: Kiko made it, wonderful waist, wonderful heart. But well, we all know kiko, he's no sugar ray. (kiko, you deserve this comment  you made me lose all my vcash!, joke, you're the best :good)

Well I don't really blame Spain, its such a beautiful country there's no real reason to want to fight anybody, all I'd want to do is sit on the beach and look at hot Spanish girls all day long and try to sleep with as many of them as I could.:hey

Life is too easy, not enough impediments for people to be angry enough to want to fight.

Can Nico be the first man to KO Ruben Nieto on July 23rd in his first big step up, or will he be exposed.

    Or possibly robbed.
An Spaniard outside his countries borders is fair game for crooked judges all over the world. And nobody seems to care either.

Yeah but this is two Spaniards fighting in Madrid, so....:think It's going to be a tough call. Nieto is the more proven guy clearly, but Nico is a beast, he might not leave it up to the judges.:think
