Carnera destroys him - and there are few hypothetical matches I would favor Carnera in. That cheater Ruiz would be another.

Carnera's Advantages: Better in-fighter, busier boxer, more consistent jab, better footwork, better jab.

Valuev's Advantages: More durable; a better jab when he uses it properly.

    Unknowns: Strength; power.

Valuev might have an outside chance at stopping Carnera, but given that Valuev isn't actually a big puncher and this fight isn't exactly going to be a barnstorming brawl, the smart money would be on Carnera to outwork and outbox Valuev to a decision.

Bull. Fights could have gone either way. And Ruiz was himself the beneficiary of several questionable calls. Live by the sword, die by the sword. No one should cry any tears for that cheater that he lost a couple of close nods!!:-(

Fair enough, though you left out a few things. I will give busier boxer and better inside fighting, though I disagree as far as the jab goes. Valuev has a pretty good jab when he uses it, watch him against Liakhovich, he practically won the fight behind the jab and it was very consistant. I also dont agree on the footwork, neither man has good footwork. Though Carnera moved around the ring like a wrestler, not a boxer.

Valuev would also have the advantage in the chin department by a mile, also in overall size. Carnera would not be able to out strength Valuev who is 6 inches taller and outweighs him by over 50 pounds. I just cant see how one of the worst skilled Heavyweight champs would even stand a chance against Valuev.

According to you, Ruiz has never won a fight in his career.
