Valuev of 2005 vs Rocky Marciano of 1953, 12 rounds, Marciano non-roided.
Who wins, how and why? (no poll)

Marciano KO 5. Valuev would try to jab Marciano with his pitiful, slow jab. Marciano would get on the inside crack his ribs, bust his arms, land his Suzie Q, andgo home.

I honestly wonder if someone without real snap and power behind their punches who was huge none the less could do anything to Marciano.

Pushing, plodding punches just don't strike me as being effective against him. Power like Tommy Morrison's, sure... But Primo or Valuev type power? Bleh...

The 5th is too early. The knockout will come late if it comes at all, when Valuev is good and spent.

One-sided fight in favor of Rocky all the way to the finish.

Imagine a pit bull against a big ,slow, plodding, dopey mutt.Eventually the pit inflicts so many many bites the big dog collapses from not one bite in particular , but from an accumulation of trauma.Marciano, ko 11

I've seen a lot of Valuev's fights and the punches just bounce off his skull without any effect whatsoever. There was only one instance when Barret hit him with a good right hand early in the fight and he seemed stunned for about half a second, but came right back with his own stuff to hurt Barret.

A power puncher like Chagaev was literally landing combinations on his chin and he just kept on plodding forward like nothing happened. Outside of injuries, cuts or the referee stopping the fight because of onesideness, i don't see anyone stopping Valuev. The man has an iron chin.

But Marciano's Suzie Q could put anyone unconcious. In the mid 60's it was tested, and they figured out it had more force than an armor peircing bullet, and had enough power behind it to lift 1,000 lbs 12 inches off of the ground. That can put anyone uncious, and like I said, you can have the best chin in the world, but if your out cold, its not going to help you.

Valuev beats Marciano by TKO within 6 rounds.

If it's 12 rounds then I pick Rocky on points. If it's 15 then Valuev may fall over late.

Valuev may be a bit slow, but he was fast enough to beat Ruiz on points. Although Ruiz did some good job that night.

What does that have to do with him beat Rocky? Marciano would whip his ass.
