I don't know if this match has been considered before, but in the opinion of the classic forum...who would have won between these two greats? 1t5 rounds, of course...in a neutral location.

From the limited footage we have of Loi, he comes across as a pretty well-schooled swarmer who's difficult to catch with a clean shot. And that style's all wrong for Locce, who liked to lay back and make opponents miss repeatedly before countering with one or two precise shots.

I've got Loi outhustling Locce in most of the rounds to earn a hard-fought but clear UD.

Ive got a bunch of loi footage. He was very good. Underrated. This would be a really interesting style matchup between Loi's aggression and Locche's defense.

This makes sense...and I'm a huge fan of Locche, but it's similar to the Frazier-Young thread...with a very busy swarmer giving the defensive guy too much work.

Loi would be the perfect foil for Locche's great defense. His busy style that incorporated lots of body work, with the view of making an opening up high. He'd be throwing that jab, getting in with a body attack then when the opening is there coming up with a hard counter-punch.

In the Carlos Hernandez fight, Hernandez has a good first 5 rounds with a good body attack, it's when he abandons this he struggles. I think Loi who throughout his career invested heavily to the body, won't commit the same error.

Locche for his part would get overwhelmed defensively, and would lack the snap to keep loi honest and off of him.
