Can´t see how JMM would win, wrong style and wrong weight.....Locche by wide UD...

I actually think Marquez would be okay sizewise.

He'll be waiting for opportunities though. With his accuracy and timing he'll have some success and he'll be able to cope with everything Locche has offensively but I can't see him doing more than enough to win on points, Locche can come just inside JMM's punching range and slip the uppercuts as well, and at the higher weights JMM's ability to step put of range and time his counters has only looked strong against Pacquiao when he was on 'roids (probably) so the lineal lightweight kingpin Marquez will be hitting air and eating left hands for most of the fight I imagine.

Locche decision in a consistently interesting bout.

This is similar to the Mayweather match up for Marquez except Mayweather is taller, longer, quicker, bigger, stronger and has a very good right hand where as Loche is very much left hand focused. The style still slightly favours Loche but that evens it up and makes it a closer technical match. I'd lean towards Loche's better defence, but Marquez is maybe quicker, fitter and has a better offensive skills

It wasn't 'comedy hour' against Ortiz, which he supposedly lost 10-2 and Marquez is a couple of skill levels above the likes Cervantes. Loche could embarrass a technical pre-programmed type that is easy to read but not a precision shot picker like Marquez

Chavez and now Locche? Damn people have been despising JMM lately. Locche by comfortable decision though JMM will have his moments incredibly sparsely.

How in the hell is Marquez two levels up on Cervantes in terms of skill?

Based on what? Because he can outskill Manny Pacquiao?

Or because he can GET outskilled by an old Barrera? By little Hagler? By not being able to track Chris John down for the life of him or going on even terms for 11 rounds with a shot Joel Casamayor?

If you want to talk about levels, start with talking about how Marquez is not on Carlos Ortiz's level.

Cervantes and Marquez are fairly close for sheer skill imo.P4P

Physical tools though and straight up at 140 in general...Cervantes is a colossus compared to an old blown up Marquez.

Juan isn't even someone like Emiliano Villa at 140, physically.above 130 he's a fragile Jim Watt with combo's instead of a jab.

Locche's fight to lose.He should win soundly if he puts the effort in.
