    Nice upload, Vic:good

Locche's legs looked much better against Ortiz.

Maybe when he was younger he had Ali-type movement.;)

    Yeah, i've heard that too.

No **** here, I once slipped two body shots. Amazing ****.

The footage we have vs Carlos Ortiz, Locche shows very good use of his legs IMO

I like how he's trying to win most of the fight by making his opponent hit air while being so economical with his movement.

He is probably the most visually amazing boxer i've ever seen the way he clowns people with his insane defense is so ridiculous i can't help but laugh when i see it.

Well, no less an authority than Ray Arcel rated Locche as the greatest defensive specialist of all time, over Willie Pep, Benny Leonard, Jimmy Young, Teddy Yaroz, Pernell Whitaker, Wilfredo Benitez (who Locche should have had his final title shot against in 1976), and other legends of defense that he personally witnessed in action during his 94 years of life. That is a staggering, utterly staggering endorsement.

This might rate as an "unpopular opinion" but I tend to agree with him. This guy Locche was incredible, and his 100+ fight career proves this.

Locche was a lifetime smoker as well....to go the distance full 15 rounds so many damn times shows us something remarkable.

it's he, pep and whitaker at the top. it really depends what you like...there's so much more footage of sweet pea that he may get an advantage but on the film available, you could make a case for any of the 3. personally, i like the effortlessness of whitaker and locche from a stylistic/aestetics perspective over pep. pep seemed to exert more energy in his defense but he was no less effective
